iSpring is really your only option
Product: iSpring WGB32B 3 Stage whole house filter. Date installed: June, 2022 First Filter change: May, 2023 (note house is barely used from Nov to May, seasonal log cabin) Upstate NY, well water Filters: Sediment filter => GAC+KDF filter => CTO Carbon filter Professional plumber install - paid $800, well worth it, they have the tools, they have the skills, they have the patience, well, most of the time. To do it over again: would 100% get the Spin-down filter to lessen load on sediment filter. May still do this but may not have room. Nick, if you're reading this and seeing the pics, what do you think? We research every major purchase, whole house filter was a major need. Built a log cabin on a small lake in the Adirondack park in upstate NY. Well drilled about 200'. Water is potable, tested several times, but there was some flakey silver particles and other sediment in the toilette and clogging up the screens. Water tasted just fine but needed to get rid of this sediment. We looked at several companies and settled with iSpring for the sheer quality of their product and the amazing customer support. I dealt with Nick in the beginning of the purchase process and he guided me to the right product and the right filter combinations. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and understand customer service and a good dude. Was going to give it go to install it myself as there are good videos out there but went the professional plumber route and glad I did. We included a bunch of shut-off valves with a bypass and plumber put in a faucet to relieve the pressure when you change the filters (great idea). I wish he had put a pressure valve before the filter system and afterwards to see if there's pressure drop. We had one small issue which was one of the cannisters was damaged in transport (threads). Called iSpring, luckily Nick picked up, and he sent me replacement right away. Installed with no leaks, no issues. You will notice what the sediment filter is picking up which is amazing that was going through the house and we were drinking it. Water is clear, no sediment in toilette bowl or the faucet screens and taste amazing - neighbors come here now to fill their water bottles. We changed the filters after 11 months (6 months of heavy use). Sediment filter was replaced (obviously after seeing the pics), KDF filter was fine, carbon filter replaced but looked okay too (see pics). We finished our basement over the winter and the unit is now enclosed. Note: not easy removing the housing to change the filters, you will need two of those wrenches for sure. They're heavy when full of water so have a bucket underneath. When re-installing, don't overtighten and make sure your gasket is good and apply a bit of silicone to it before spinning it back on. Make this purchase, you will be amazed and even more amazed by the excellent support you get - that's what really did it for us as iSpring stands out in this area. Thanks Nick and the entire team there.

Top Performance with THE Greatest Customer Support
I installed this 3-stage system in 2020. I was impressed by the quality and the ease of installation. The water quality immediately improved in taste, clarity/turbidity and scale build-up. We have been VERY pleased with the performance and cost effectiveness of this System & the iSpring replacement filters. Additionally, over the years, whenever I had a question, a call to Customer Support got me to a LIVE knowledgable person with real answers. Recently, after 5 years of use, one of the filter caps (black female threaded piece that accepts the blue filter housing) developed a crack. I called Customer Support first thing to check about a replacement repair part. Within seconds my call was answered by Nick and within 2 minutes Nick thoroughly understood my situation. He indicated, even though I was well beyond warranty, he would ship me a complete new top machine head (all 3 black caps assembled together in a new mounting bracket). All Nick needed was a copy of my original invoice and my shipping address. This Customer Support was the BEST I have ever received (and I’m a 77 year-old Handyman/Engineer). Entire call lasted less than 5 minutes and the whole mood was positive and focused on fixing my issue. Oh, additionally, the Machine Head arrived in less than 2-½ days (55 hrs.from my call!!)!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A Must Have Water Filtration System For Rural Housing
I did not realize all my water problems stemmed from a lack of a water filtration system. In 2016, we purchased a house built in 1980 and figured if it worked for 36 years without a system there would not be a need to add one. We were completely wrong and caught off guard when our water heater stopped working. Corrosive water caused both heating elements to fail and upon further investigation, we found that the 55 Gallon water heater was filled with over 6 gallons of mineral sediments. After researching several products, I selected this one manufactured by i-Spring and could not be more pleased. Installation of the system was not overly complicated. I watched a few youtube videos on how to solder and went to work. I did add a bypass loop so I can still have running water when doing a filter change, but I really don't plan on having to use it. I also placed pressure gauges on both sides of the water filter assembly and the readings confirm that the pressure drop across the filters is negligible. I've had the system installed for almost a year now, and it is nothing less than a godsend. The water quality coming out of the sinks is just as good as any refrigerator filtered water. The dishwasher no longer leaves spots, plumbing fixtures no longer have mineral build-up, faucet aerators fun clean, and showers no longer leaves the skin dry. If you're looking for a whole house water filtration system that you can install yourself, this is the one. I can also say after a year of use, the i-Spring product has held up extremely well and trouble free. You will notice a difference in water quality with the first 10 gallons you run out of the pipes.

Whole house filter highly effective at reducing scale made by a great company
I purchased this iSpring anti-scale filter system because my home has very hard water and we saw an immense buildup on sinks, toilets, and appliances in my home. The performance of the filter is excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for such a system. This system reduced the scale in our water to zero (according to the water test kit that previously had reported significant levels) and we don't have anymore buildup. How you install the system is highly dependent on your individual setup (e.g. whether you use copper, PVC, or PEX, and how you orient the system), so I won't comment much on that. What I particularly found helpful was the guidance that iSpring provided throughout the process: 1. I initially contacted iSpring to help decide on which filter to go with, since they offer a myriad of options and including sizes and filter types. The support agent suggested I test my water and share the results with them. Upon doing so, they recommended this anti-scale system. 2. The written instructions by iSpring are very good. They also provide installation videos and prominently display the fact that you can call or contact them at any time for help. 3. Once I installed the filter, I noticed that one of the plastic fittings in the machine head between the two chambers had a very small leak (approx. 1 drop of water per hour). I reached out to support again and received help from an agent named Francis, who not only gave me instructions on how to disassemble and tighten the fittings (which ended up being not particularly difficult to do), but also offered to send a replacement machine head for good measure. Overall, I would highly recommend this product not only for its performance but also for how well the company supports and stands behind their products.

Good Whole House Water Filter System
Good product & filters Philadelphia water adequately. My wife says that her hair now feels better after washing. I also noticed that there is less hair loss while showering. Updated Friday July 6, 2018 (1 Month of use) Updated Tuesday July 10,2018 (added comments about hair) Installation: 1. Since I was installing this in the basement against a stone wall, I made a frame with 2 x 4 inch lumber which I anchored to the stone wall. 2. I learned that using a 1" copper bushing from the plumbing supply house is not a good idea, for the connection will leak. I then switched to a 1 in. x 3/4 in. Schedule 40 PVC Reducer Bushing which is deeper than the copper bushing with Teflon tape and the leak was sealed. 3. The Philadelphia water supply is >= 80 PSI where we live. The iSpring Documentation states that 80PSI is fine, but the yellow tags on the big blue filter canisters warn against water pressure >= 75 PSI. You should test your water pressure prior to installation. If your water pressure is too high you should install a water pressure regulator valve before the filter. 4. It is good to create a bypass loop so you can maintain water pressure in the lines while changing the filters. 5. I found that using the (Expensive) Shark Bite connectors especially around the iSpring WSP-50 - Reusable Spin Down Sediment Water Filter - 50 Micron, 20 GPM, 1" MNPT + 3/4" FNPT https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072YVNRZN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 helps with the removal of the filter housing for periodic cleaning. (See attached Photos) Product Defects: 1. One of the blue filter holders had damaged threads which most likely became damaged during shipment. This filter leaked and I bought Dow Corning 111 O-Ring Silicone Lubricant (5.3 oz. Tube) Dow Corning 111 O-Ring Silicone Lubricant (5.3 oz. Tube) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CTUJNU2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which is certified for use on food service equipment and water filter system O rings. Even if you do not have a filter container with damaged threads, I recommend using a FDA certified O ring grease to make and keep a secure fitting. I called the Amazon Help Number 888-280-4331 and they sent me a replacement unit. Filtered Water Quality: With the system operating less than a week, we are very pleased with the results. It is well worth the cost and takes at least a day to install. After using the iSpring for a month now both my wife and I noticed that our hair has stopped falling out when we take a shower. There must be something really nasty in the Philadelphia water system. What are we drinking? My wife also noticed that some brown hair is returning. I do not know if it is the water filter or the vitamin supplements. The water seems softer and makes cleaning the house easier. Update June 11, 2019 This morning I changed my water filters which consist of a sediment filter and 2 carbon filters. The sediment filter on the left, is white when new. Philadelphia claims to have the cleanest water in the country. Then, what is all of this brown junk? I'm glad I bought this water filter system

Quality product.
Superb product. Zero issues and works to fix my well water problems. I combined this with a WSP spin down filter and a Vortech upflow acid neutralizer. The thing is heavy for sure and takes planning to install and plumb, but it works perfectly.
