Good value
Easy install and setup. Extra keys made with automatic keymaker at local hardware store. Having had other locks that failed, I know having a readily accessible key is good insurance. Experiencing difficulty with the automatic opening using the "away" feature and working on modifying the lock opening times as it was relocking before we could reach the door. Using a dedicated 2.4ghz bridge for connectivity. Not sure why 5ghz systems are not readily available. At some point will changeover to their newer NFC lock for extra convenience. With over 20 years experience in using fingerprint locks I chose not to purchase that feature. Android app works well for unlocking the door and having key pad to unlock is sufficient as a backup option. Will try imbedding a magnet into the door frame to eliminate the need for the magnet attached on the outside of the frame. Going to add a white stripe on the inside knob to easily visualize the door is in locked position from a distance. Too early to comment on battery life or overall dependability. Would recommend making sure the deadbolt will extend fully into the door strike with no interference.

Epic lock!!!
The ULTRALOQ U-Bolt WiFi Smart Lock with Door Sensor has been a game-changer for my home security and convenience since I purchased it on June 9, 2024. As someone who was tired of fumbling with keys or worrying about lost spares, I was drawn to its 8-in-1 keyless entry system, which includes AI-powered fingerprint recognition, an anti-peep keypad, smartphone app control, auto unlock and lock features, web portal access, eKey sharing, voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant, and traditional mechanical keys as a backup. Installation was straightforward, taking just minutes with only four screws and no wiring or drilling required, fitting perfectly on my standard US door. The built-in WiFi eliminated the need for an extra bridge, and the included door sensor provides real-time alerts on whether the door is open or closed, adding an extra layer of peace of mind. Right from the start, the lock’s IP65 weatherproof rating proved reliable through rainy seasons, and its ANSI Grade 1 certification assured me of its durability and strength. 19 15 Over the past year, I’ve come to absolutely love how seamlessly this lock integrates into my daily routine. The fingerprint scanner, with its 360-degree live ID and self-learning AI, unlocks in a fraction of a second—even with slightly damp hands—and has been incredibly consistent, far outperforming other models I’ve tried in the past. Battery life has held up well, lasting 3-6 months with regular use, and the app sends timely low-battery notifications to prevent any lockouts. I’ve used the auto-unlock feature countless times when approaching with groceries in hand, and the ability to grant temporary eKeys to guests or family via the app has been invaluable for remote management, especially during trips. Integration with my smart home ecosystem, like triggering lights upon unlocking, has made everything feel more automated and secure, and the quiet motor operation ensures it doesn’t disturb the household. Despite some initial setup tweaks for WiFi stability, it has performed flawlessly in tests, responding instantly to commands without any major issues. 0 16 In conclusion, after more than a year of daily use, I can confidently say I’ve loved the ULTRALOQ U-Bolt WiFi Smart Lock with Door Sensor more than any other smart home device I’ve owned—it’s reliable, versatile, and has eliminated so many small frustrations from my life. Whether for families, rentals, or busy professionals, its combination of advanced features, ease of use, and robust security makes it a standout choice. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their door lock; it’s earned its spot as a top-rated option in my book and continues to impress with every unlock.

Solid device, Good support
Summary: 4 stars only because it’s been a short time though I would give 5 stars for support. I received the ULTRALOQ Smart Lock U-Bolt WiFi and encountered some random performance issues. In the end, ubolt support was able to help resolve the problems and I now seem to have a reliable smart deadbolt solution (at least for the last few weeks, time will tell). Details: The lock seems well built and the instructions are clear. The installation was straightforward. It is imperative that one ensures the deadbolt moves freely without resistance so the motor doesn’t jam. After install of the initial purchase here’s what happened: - >30% of the time the Ubolt App did not successfully lock or unlock the deadbolt - Most of the time it took multiple keypad entry tries from outside to unlock the door. Sometimes we had to eventually enter through another door. - could not connect via WiFi, and though it will use Bluetooth when no WiFi available, I still encountered the erratic issues above. For the WiFi issue, I determined that although my phone was sensitive enough and could successfully connect to my router (other side of my house) when standing near the lock, the lock could not. I used an online tool and my phone to measure signal strength at the bolt location and sure enough the signal strength was below the spec given by ubolt. The solution here will be to get a WiFi booster or Mesh router. In the meantime it will be Bluetooth only and I won’t be able to lock/unlock remotely. For the other issues, I contacted ubolt support and Savi really helped me out. After he sent me a number of troubleshooting steps he determined a replacement was in order. I received the replacement in a week or two, basically using the original deadbolt in manual mode (note that a hard key is provided) until the replacement arrived. I installed the new lock and so far I’ve had virtually 100% first try successful lock and unlock with either the app (Bluetooth) or keypad. I commend the support from Savi. When he did not hear any status from me after a couple of days he would check in with me via email. Very proactive. This was my first experience with a smart lock so I can’t compare with another company’s solution but at this point I recommend Ubolt if for no other reason than help is available when things don’t go as expected.

AWESOME Customer service
I purchased this lock and it did not work properly, the batteries kept dying. By the time I got around to fixing the problem the return window was closed. I reached out to the company and they were so very helpful, they helped go thru the steps to help it function properly, when all the help didn't work they sent me a new one and a mailing sticker to send the old one back at no cost to me. I really appreciate all the great customer service this company had to offer. Now the new lock is working perfectly. I would recommend this lock highly and the company deserves 5 Stars

Short batteries life
Great lock overall — very secure and works well. The only downside is that the batteries run out about every two weeks, which is a bit inconvenient. looking to change it. Update: customer Service contact me and gonna send me a new lock. Apparently they have 18 months warranty. I very recommend this company.

little more than a toy for fun, do not use for remote access or secure control of your doors
So far, 5 days in I would say the Ultraloq is a complete failure. I purchased this for the primary front door lock at a home which we are not in attendance for months at a time but require temporary access for workers and guests. For this it is a complete and utter fail. What I have learned - 1) the unit does not have any reliable wi-fi. My $10 remote outlet switches are more reliable. The unit was installed in the front door with line of sight access to a 4 month old Orbi Mesh access point, which supports both 2.4 and 5Ghz. The AP is located about 15 feet from the front door with no obstructions. The unit requires wifi for most all functions on the app, unless your within short bluetooth range. In three weeks the unit has not remained connected to the wifi network more than 3 days. There is no particular reason it disconnects, I have a highly automated home and every other device, phone, computer, wifi lights, wifi plugs, wifi cameras, wifi ring doorbell, wifi ring remote ringer, wifi clocks, wifi interior door locks, etc. all have remained connected. The only single failed device is the Ultraloq/app. 2) When the lock disconnects it does not have the capability to reconnect, regardless of the reason for disconnect. This means that if for any reason including just random disconnect occurs on the lock it will not reconnect. The ONLY way to reconnect is to complete multiple phone reboots, remove the wifi connection from the app, connect to the lock ONLY via bluetooth, then reinstall the wifi connection. Each time it disconnects this is the process. I discussed this at length with Ultraloq tech support, this is the required procedure. This means you cannot operate these units remotely. So unless you plan to be at your home, everyday, and within bluetooth range, everyday, these units are not going to function. 3) The issue is software/firmware and is the same for all locks Ultraloq sells. The Ultraloq personnel will attempt to push it off on your wifi. They will tell you that mesh systems are not reliable (despite the actual fact that wifi mesh systems are more reliable offer greater resiliency and greater coverage areas), or that the locks require 2.4Ghz only (Most mesh systems offer both 2.4 and 5ghz and self select the one the device can use). 4) Ultraloq denies this issue exists but it is detailed by multiple users in the their own community tech pages. 5) Even with the "smart" open and autolock feature the system can and does fail. If only close the door partially the lock will make a couple of attempts to lock, once it can't the lock entirely fails but does not show the failure in the app. The lock will have to be manually opened, then the door closed for it to reengage. If you open the door or close the door without the manual opening of the lock the unit will not autolock. 6) logs are unreliable. Further attempting to access them can take minutes for each screen listing of logs. For me the app tends to timeout multiple times before presenting the data. I have found no way to download or access logs other than the log screen. 7) once the unit connects to a phone via bluetooth it will not connect via wifi, so you have to turn off your bluetooth, reboot the app, in order to get the app to access the lock via wifi. Despite all the features and the great reviews, these locks are not for reliable, secure use of a primary lock in a home or other structure.

A GREAT DOOR LOCK!!!
I'm thoroughly satisfied with the Latch 5 that I purchased. I upgraded my door locks with the Latch 5 Fingerprint and paired it with the Lock Deadbolt. The ability to program from the app how I want them to work is a gamechanger. I can have either of them open once either 1 is unlocked. The setup and installation is super easy, the instructions provided are detailed and you really can't get lost or mess it up if you follow step by step. The real shining star though is the support from the company that you receive. They are on top of any issues you may have and are dedicated to making sure that you are satisfied with their product and respond promptly to any questions or issues. I would definitely suggest investing in their products. The only drawback is, they don't have enough products yet, lol. I'm really interested in the upcoming camera system they are working on. Also, their products work seamlessly with Samsung Smart Things (low-key the reason I tried them), so itz good to be able to utilize the Smart Things app and be able to control the locks and get notifications. Also, the notifications of who and when the locks unlock is nice. You can also setup a bypass mode where the locks remain unlocked and you can use the door as if it didn't have any locks on it period. Inverse you can also lock it so all remain locked no matter if a code is input or not. You can also give out temporary codes for people to use. They have really taken the time and invested quality improvements into bringing a great product to market! I can't say enough about the company and the products that I have, TRULY SATISFIED!!!

Great product, hard to install.
Very hard to install in a door that didn't previously have a dead bolt but works great once I spent hours getting it aligned precisely. I've installed dozens of deadbolts over the years. Hardest one ever.

Good quality product
Worked well but needs a wifi bridge which can be a hassle but it was ok for us.

The door sensor is critical, and this version has it.
Great little lock to replace my ubolt pro with fingerprint reader. The major advantage here is the door sensor. This means that it only relocks when the door is closed. The other lock (without sensor) was destroyed by being slammed shut after relocking automatically ; when the lock was already out and this shook the internal mechanism loose. The other still lasted 5 years despite this. The app is fine if basic.

Not the Quality I’m used to.
I’ve had nothing but ultraloq for a while now...never an NFC unit, though. Two recent NFC units don’t work well, have been nothing but trouble. The fingerprint units i needed to replace weren’t much better. I got only 3 years out of them. The only units with no issues and still going strong are the simple wifi keypad units. I will be exploring other options. Seller refers you to Support and the experience just gets worse from there. I’m done.
