Superior cookware, stunning range
I bought the Circulon Scratch Defense Saute Pan with Lid 28cm - 4.7L back in March 2025 and purposely withheld my review. I’ve now had a good number of months to use it and can honestly say I wish I’d bought one sooner! Quite simply it is the best non-stick non-scratch pan I’ve ever had (I’m in my 60’s and have been cooking for years)! I’ve used it to sauté and fry, for making soup and stews and wouldn’t be without it. It is a tad on the heavier side but has a cleverly built in grab handle at the front. The graphite pewter finish is stylish and washes well. In fact I loved it so much I purchased the matching 21cm frying pan, use it frequently and hope to add more pieces from the collection in future. Don’t be put off by poor reviews criticising the non-stick surface. It’s superb! Respect the product - ie don’t use cooking sprays as most contain lecithin which can be nigh on impossible to remove once it builds up; wash the pan when cool. In my opinion the Circulon Stratch Defense Non-Stick range of products is top-tier. The cookware is a little pricey but worth it. My only gripe - it’s not possible to buy all of the products as individual items which is a great shame. Surely this option would provide extra revenue for Circulon whilst offering cookware to suit their customers’ preference and purse. I highly recommend this gorgeous range. It’s elegant, effective and an absolute delight to use in the kitchen.

Great Pots & Pans
These pots are amazing - although a bit pricey I think it’s definitely worth it. They are completely non-stick - easy to clean. I love cooking with them! I also like how they can go into the oven!

Top Quality Pan
Worth the price. A good size for a fry-up breakfast, not too light in weight, but neither too heavy. Needs little oil to cook satisfyingly and has a long ergonomically balanced handle. It’s also easy to wash, best done with just hot water - I've cooked various meals in it, from omelettes to stews, and it doesn’t stick. Always heat on medium and reduce to low (avoid high) and you’re smiling all the way from pan to plate. And my missus loves it too!

Good quality pots and pans
So far non stick surface seems really good. The smallest pot is very small but the other two are a good size. Happy with the purchase especially since they were on offer

Highly recommended for functionality, ease of use, durability and safety
A heavy duty saucepan that feels sturdy but is not heavy. It heats evenly and quickly and is truly non-stick. Cleaning is extremely easy and done in a few seconds - I sweep a round head Circulon brush around the circular groved inner bottom of the pan. I use the pan on a low heat (electric mark 2) and rarely need more heat except to bring to boil, in which case, electric mark 3 works effectively. I am partial to Circulon and have several but this 18 inch Pewter colour is my new ‘go to’ item for virtually every meal. The cool handle and pouring rim are particularly useful though I think there could be smaller holes (a third set, perhaps?) in the lid that would be much more useful for straining smaller particles like lentils, beans and rice. Highly recommended for functionality, ease of use, durability and safety, it’s very good value for money if you can afford to pay the regular price. I purchased mine at a reduced cost from Amazon returns. I’m on the lookout for the same saucepan in the 16 inch and 20 inch sizes.

Highly recommended
Having given away our large collection of Hackman pans to a family member as we downsize, we needed to replace them with a smaller set. We already have Circulon baking trays and know their quality so this 3-piece set of “ScratchDefense“ pans was an obvious choice. They are said to be, and have proven to be, totally non-stick and highly scratch resistant. They are made of layers al steel and aluminium which makes them very fast to boil and suitable for all hob types including induction. The lids have built-in strainers which work very well – just make sure to keep the lid held firmly on when straining otherwise you vegetables might end up in the sink. They are dishwasher safe but we’d never choose put quality pans in a dishwasher by choice – they are actually ridiculously easy to clean by hand anyway. Highly recommended.

Outstanding
Well, I’ve bitten the bullet and gone for what, I hope, will be my last wok purchase! I can’t remember how many woks I’ve bought over the years. I’ve tried everything from stainless steel, non stick etc etc. Stainless steel was best; this new one replaces a stainless steel with one long handle. With grip difficulty, I’ve found it too heavy and quite difficult to manage and prefer the two handle version. Also easier to store. This is a beauty. It heats quickly and evenly. I’ve always used wood or silicon on non stick but this claims to be safe with metal utensils and although I haven’t been brave enough yet, I will give metal a go. I see cooks on tv using metal on non stick all the time! The base is ridged and it is genuinely non stick. The silicon on the handles make it easy and comfortable to grip and it’s dishwasher safe. I’m so impressed, I’ve ordered a coup,e of matching frying pans. Very happy to recommend this and if there are any issues after longer use, I’ll update this review.

I picked up this Circulon set to replace my old mismatched pots, and they’ve been working really well so far. The non stick surface is the main thing I noticed. Food releases easily, even thicker sauces, and cleaning them is quick. I usually wash by hand, but I’ve tried the dishwasher and they came out fine. The heat distribution is even, which you can tell when simmering. No hot spots and no burning at the edges. The sizes cover pretty much everything I cook, from boiling pasta to making oatmeal. The straining lids are a nice touch and save me from pulling out a separate colander for small batches. The handles stay comfortable to hold, even when the pot is hot, and the lids fit securely without rattling. I haven’t had any issues with scratching and I’ve used metal utensils a few times without thinking about it. If you want a dependable set of saucepans that feel well made and cut down on cleanup time, this is a good choice. They look nice too, so I don’t mind having them out on the stove.

Great quality worth the money

Main set of cookware is stainless steal Zwlling from Germany which I bought perhaps 15 years ago. Expensive at the time but well worth it. I love the set and when not needing not stick properties, these pans are the bomb. However, for nonstick, I swap out/replace pots and pans from time to time as they deteriorate. I have previously bought Jamie Oliver’s Tefal products. While the pots hold up ok, the fry pans keep getting trashed pretty quickly. I tried this Circulon pan to try to stop the cycle. Been using it for perhaps 4 or 5 months now and it seems to be holding up very well. I now plan and swapping out the Tefal products with Circulon going going forward.

We baby this pan so I'm glad that it is standing up. The quality of the build tells me that it has an expiration date but gladly, that day hasn't arrived yet and we've had it for more than a year - probably gets used twice a week.
