Very good tasting jerky
We got the Old Plantation one and it tastes really good.It has just the right amount of salt and moisture as well as texture. The jerky comes in a nicely sealed bag, but there is no way to seal it again after using it. We got around it by using another bag. Also, I am unsure of the shelf life. There is a single small sticker on the back of the bag that says 062485 but I have no idea if maybe this is the freshness date or not.. June 24 , it is January 23 as I am writing this.I like to always check shelf life, but it just isn't really clear to me whether this is the date or not. I cannot find another date on the bag.Overall though, this is excellent as far as taste is concerned.

Tender
I ordered the Bloody Mary Beef Jerky variety. The product needs to be refrigerated after opening. It comes in a plastic bag but I wish the bag was re-sealable. I stored it inside another plastic sealable bag when placing in the fridge to keep it fresher. The jerky is quite moist for jerky and not as dehydrated as I am used to in a jerky. The jerky has A LOT of flavor- almost bordering on being too salty. Overall, the taste is good though. I like the unique variety of flavors that are offered. It is also great that it is Michigan-Made and uses 100% USDA approved beef.

On the tough side, and not that flavorful
I think maybe I've gotten spoiled by some fantastic jerky I've gotten from Vine recently, because I'm just not that into this stuff. Compared to some other jerky I've had, it's pretty tough and stringy. The large size of the pieces really make this more obvious. Also, I tried the maple flavor, and I just didn't get any maple from it. The only real flavor I noticed was a bit of heat on the backend.

good balance, but I cut thick pieces into slivers for easier chewing
Honey BBQ was right amount of flavor, not too strong. Good balance: just a little moist, and tender enough. Strips came long and thick, which were hard for us to chew so I cut each into smaller slivers than by me ripping it apart with fingers.Didn't see any dates on the bag. There was an orange sticker that read "0502 85". Bag said to refrigerate after opening. Based on its quality, I'd bet the other flavors are delicious too!

Pretty good taste but a little fatty for jerky
Overall I think the product is high quality. The flavor I got was "Honey BBQ" which was very flavorful. My only complaint which may just be my taste, but I feel like jerky is supposed to be dry which this definitely isn't. The sauce makes it moist on the outside and the meat itself is fattier than I am used to in beef jerky. (5g a serving, most beef jerky is just 1g). To some this will probably be a plus, but to me that takes away from it.

Really delicious soft jerky
Let's not bury the lead -- this is really delicious. I've eaten a lot of different types of jerky and while I like most of them, I think this is a bit exceptional. The dominant flavors are the beef and the bourbon. The maple and chipotle flavors were much more subtle, but they are there. While the chipotle flavor is present I would not consider these to be spicy (but people often say that things are spicy which I don't consider to be spicy, so keep that in mind). This jerky is rather soft and moist (in fact, a bit wet and sticky on the outside so you might want to include napkins). Though I often lament the apparent scarcity of what I consider to be traditional jerky -- dry, chewy, and able to be stored nearly forever in a jar on the shelf -- I would not change this even if I could. This is really good as it is. You will have to refrigerate it after you open it, and it is in a standard vacuum pack bag which doesn't reseal so you will also need to transfer it to a zip-lock bag, etc.I can't comment on the price -- jerky prices always seem shocking to me until I stop to remind myself that it takes a fair amount of beef to make one ounce of jerky. At any rate, even if this is pricey for jerky, I consider buying it as an occasional treat -- it's really good.
