Car Scratch Remover, Scratch Removal for Cars Eliminates Paint Scrapes, Scuffs, Haze and Swirls on Cars, Boats and Motorcycles , 6.5 Oz, White

I have been using Nu-Finish for years and have found it to be as marketed---long-lasting! When I saw Scratch Doctor, I wanted to try it, too, since I figured that with the Nu-Finish name attached to it, it had to work well, right? I was very pleased, but I do have to say that it will not COMPLETELY remove ALL fine lines or scratches. It IMPROVES them. What I have found is that it works best on a car's headlights. Newer cars (1998 and later) have headlights made of plastic instead of glass. These dull over time (from the sun) and can become scratched (from rocks and wind abrasion). Voila! Using Scratch Doctor removes a great deal of the discoloration and most scratches. Plus, if used regularly, it helps to prevent further discoloration. I am very pleased since using it is much cheaper than having the headlights polished professionally.

This is my second review as a follow up after using it for scratch removal and swirl marks from my paint. I used it as described on the bottle and it just works, and works well. It seems to have brought back that new car look I have used Nu Finish products for years and I didn't realize how many cool products that they had until i was looking for a scratch remover. The quality is top notch, easy to use and its protection is resistant to small scratches all is true to the sellers description. Also this doesn't hurt, the price is well below the semi professional brands sold everywhere.

Good wax easy on and off but doesn't remove most light scratches

Did not even come close to working. More of a wax then removing light scratches

It's not a cure all for deep scratches. But it works on minor ones.

I love this product I use it on my glass top stove shines it up perfect and helps seal the scuffs.

The manufacturer states that this product is for use on fiberglass boats, motorcycles, and airplanes, or chrome household appliances. Also that it reduces the appearance of deep scratches. Nowhere does it say that it can be used on painted metal, in this case a car. But, some reported success, so I tried it on a car painted in bright silver metallic with many very light scratches. I washed the car with degreasing soap while using a bug sponge, to make sure I get as much debris of the paint as possible. I then applied the Scratch Doctor to several extremely light scratches (pictures taken don't even show them clearly), as well as some deeper scratches. I did so 3 times, but did not see any improvement worth mentioning. I was increasing the pressure of rubbing to the maximum I was able to, tried different amounts, but it did not make a difference. There were some spots which looked like water spots, but were most likely residue from bird poop. The Scratch Doctor did hardly anything to them. I then used some over the counter cleaner (polish) wax. With little effort, it completely took off the bird poop stains. Light scratches appeared much lighter almost immediately, and after applying it a second time, were hardly noticeable. I then tried both products side by side on a long light scratch, one half with the Scratch Doctor, one half with the polish wax (to have a clear start, it would have been unfair to use it on the already treated surface). The over-the-counter cleaner wax took care of it again. The Scratch Doctor, again, showed hardly any results. To top this, I used the over-the-counter cleaner on the light scratches I used the Scratch Doctor before, and it took care of it. So my experience is that it did not do its job, it did not even come close. NuFinish states on their website that they have a Money Back Guarantee, and to contact the place of purchase (Amazon) for a full refund of the unused portion (which is most of the content of the bottle). I contacted Amazon, they stated they do not accept returns on this product. I contacted Amazon and we will see how good NuFinish's 'Guarantee' is. Update: Amazon's customer service, excellent as usual, responded to the request and honored the return. On a side note: I also ordered NuFinish's Paste Car Polish, which was, compared to the over-the-counter polish wax, another big disappointment. I left a review for this products with details.

A bit of elbow grease neede but as cured light scatches

Tout comme les crèmes anti-rides, ce produit ne fait pas de miracle. Une rayure reste une rayure, mais il a au moins la qualité de dissimuler les différences de couleurs. Parmi tous les produits de sa gamme proposé sur le marché, il fait son job.
