I like this set, helped me to keep calm and balanced spirit while I happened to be alone on one of a holiday days. Took me about 2 hours to get it done, mainly time went to waiting when cement dries out. Final product is nice, positive vibe and vivid colors. put it on my work office desk. With a little help kids can do it.

LMAO, at first I was a little disappointed this needed so many steps, but then I just found it hilarious that what seemed like an enjoyable craft was really a conspiracy to teach me patience. All joking aside this might be something better spread over 2 days.A couple of details about the product. Overall the entirety of the product is good, although the directions are a bit lacking as it's mostly pictures.The unicorn is a wood base with pretty good sanding on edges but there were some rough spots. Having some sanding paper would quickly alleviate this, although you will be adding another step....The first step is to paint the top edges of the unicorn white. Then wait 5-10 minutes for it to dry. If you have enough paint and are not happy with the first coat, you may want to do it again.Now comes the main fun part. Setting the 'gems' in place. All the gems have a white painted backing that will help reflect light. Because of this you don't have to paint the inner wells white. Paint on the glue one area at a time and fill one area at a time for better adhesion.This is the part you can be a little creative with. Maybe you want a blue eye for the unicorn, etc. There are limited 'gems' so keep this in mind especially when helping children. Kids might find it easier to just follow the picture on the box.Now that you have that done you need to wait20-30 minutes. This is a good time for a lunch or snack break. Patience is NOT one of my strengths, so I'm glad I can laugh about this.Now is the messy part, but they did include 1 set of plastic gloves. This part is where the directions are really lacking... it says add water, but should it be warm or hot?? Don't know, I chose very warm. (Some of you might be wondering about the wood absorbing moisture.... me too, so I am not sure about the longevity of the craft, but wood forms are used in concrete so maybe it's not an issue.)It wants you to wait for it to dry before cleaning off the gems, but I didn't want cloudy gems/residue left behind so I took a damp paper towel to clean off the worst parts.Now after you waited again for the grout to dry/set. You can finish cleaning off the rest.One more break and you get to add gold paint to the edges of the unicorn.I am not actually going to take away any stars, as I think learning to be patient with something to achieve a better result is a good lesson and those that finish the project will admire their work even more.

Really enjoyed putting this unicorn mosaic craft together with my 6 year old. Had everything you need and even though the directions weren't clear, there was a QR code that went to a YouTube video tutorial showing the steps clearly. My daughter needed help with the the grout portion, since the tiles moved around a little, even after gluing them down. We actually ending up adding more tiles with no issues. Great craft project!

This is not a craft to be done in an hour and moved on from. It takes time to do it, but the results are worth it. You have to be patient with it and sometimes google things. The instructions are not the worst I have read but also not the best as they are mostly pictures and there are some spots where there really needs to be more than a visual explanation. Overall, my unicorn loving child had fun making this, and I ... didn't hate it. lol.

I got this for a weekend project for a 9 year old and she loved it. It will be an easy craft for her - simple but fun.

This is such a cute art project. It comes with everything you need, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It's easy to customize it, by choosing how you want the different colors, but it's going to look cute no matter how you do it. The materials are good quality. It's a really cute kit.
