This will surprise you. Together with the matching tamper, it just works. This is definitely not the usual Chinese garbage, but it’s a gem. Buy it, it’s amazing.

After comparing similar products online I opted for this one, the YOLOYO 58.5mm dosing funnel. And I’m glad I did. This is a very well made product. It’s machined flawlessly, is perfectly shaped to fit my Lelit Mara portafilter and IMS baskets, and has a surprisingly substantial mass. It feels good in the hand, but more importantly stays in place when moving back and forth from the grinder. Since my filter baskets are stainless steel, magnets would be of no use. This funnel doesn’t have them. Instead, its heavy weight and closely fitted base ensure that it doesn’t wobble or shift when used. I needed the straight sided version to fit better in my grinder (Baratza Vario), but I’m guessing that the one with a wider, flared top is equally impressive.

It would be nice if there were more size choice options like 58.2, 58.3, 58.4. etc.

The media could not be loaded. Love this! I am a total an espresso geek. It’s literally made to work with a one shot basket. The La Marzocco Single Basket LM1. I don’t have the exact basket, so it’s not a perfect match but even not being a perfect match it really makes a big difference with my single shot espresso basket. Now we really want to buy that basket just to make sure it’s perfect in and give it a shot. If you have a coffee cake in mind, someone who really nerds out of a coffee this would be a really cool gift. I really like mine. I’m super happy I got it.I also have the 58mm dosing ring and I love it!

This dosing funnel sits easily on the lip of any 58mm filter basket. It does NOT use any magnets on it, so it might possibly slip off, if you're the type that tends to enthusiastically swing your portafilter around your coffee bar as you're making an espresso. But, its weight alone keeps it nicely perched on any puck filter, without too many mishaps.The opening of this dosing funnel is around 58.4 mm wide, and that EXTRA WIDTH allows a classic tamper (anything that doesn't have a leveling skirt!) to be used for tamping the puck, WITHOUT having to remove the funnel. It helps prevent spilling grounds during your prep, as you use a WDT tool and tamper to create your puck,.However, if you also regularly use a separate DISTRIBUTOR before tamping, you'll probably have to REMOVE this dosing funnel after adding your grounds to the portafilter. Most distributors usually have skirts that are designed to sit directly on the filter basket (but, they can't accommodate the additional height of a dosing funnel).This one is well-made, hefty, and nicely polished. And, because it fits snugly in a portafilter, it doesn't leave a channel between the puck and the wall of the filter basket, as some other dosing funnels do.I think it might give me more of a sense of security, though, if this product was at least SLIGHTLY MAGNETIC, perhaps!

Worked great for my single Dose basket. But doesn't include the odd size tamper. The listing description is deceiving because it reads like it is included, and being that its not a standard size tamper, there's no reason anyone should have one.
