Easy to assemble great gift worth the money easy to use

Haven’t even had this a year and the remote completely crapped out. Also, doesn’t stay in any position you want, the hinges are fairly lose so if you’re wanting bendy designs this wouldn’t be my first recommendation.

The material feels cheap, the sections don’t align perfectly, the amount of light is fine but the worst part it it doesn’t hold it’s shape well and that part of the reason I got the lamp. Tightening it too much just weakened the hinges because the plastic couldn’t take the pressure…. Would not buy again

The remote has never worked for me... but the Smart Life App worked. The app gives much more control, so I'm not really missing the remote's limited functionality. My favorite light mode is when the unit turns on, it is a subtle slow scrolling rainbow color. Sadly there does not seem to be any way to recreate it with the app. The app has many different RGB changing color modes, but most are too fast, and only limited color sets. I can't seem to make my own DIY color mode that would be a slow scroll of colors I choose. The music sensing also doesn't really seem to work for me, bit I didn't really buy it for that mode anyway.All this being said, I have it working with Google Assistant, and it's a very robust RGB light for close to 1/2 the price of many others. I'm giving it 3 stars, because it does most of what I need, for a reasonable price.

Includes: lamp, base, power adapter, remote, instructions, wall mount accessories and allen keys.Larger allen key is used for assembly when mounting lamp to the base.Base is two part, the black top part is medal, also a large washer is included.For wall mounting, you get a bag of accessories.Test before assembly.Plug into a power strip or outlet, as this has a good size wall plug.Power adapter, then connect the one button controller box, then into the base of the lamp.Overall cord length is around 38 inches.The base weights 4 lb and 11.5 oz.Appears that the lamp has about 8 zones per section.How much power does it use?Each mode uses a different amount of power.Tested by plugging into the P3 Kill A Watt.White used an average of 21 watts.Colors varied around 8-9 watts.Solid colors: Red, Green, Blue, used 7 watts.And while off, uses 1.3 watts.The Lamp has LED's on one side. LED's are behind a built in diffuser.Each LED section is incased in a black plastic.The joints between the four sections: can be rotated 270° horizontally and 180° vertically.The smaller provided allen key must be used to loosen each joint before adjusting the bend.(No allen key is needed for the twist of each section)Control with: remote, control box, tuya, alexa, and google assistant.Remote.Needs two AAA batteries. (not included)Remove battery cover insert batteries, replace the cover.Easy to use remote. (may need to be paired with lamp, follow instructions)Mine worked right out of the box, no pairing needed.Nice quality remote.Buttons are a silicone type material.Each button has printing for easy identification.Simple controls and easy to use.Built in one button inline controller. (this has the built in sound sensor)This connects between the wall plug and the lamp itself.Much less controls as you have only this one button.Needed for pairing with controller and turning on and off.Negatives.Use the remote or use the tuya app.This lamp can't seem to do both.Also having issues connecting with Alexa.In order to get each section to stay in place you really need to crank down with the allen key.Positives.You have options on your own setup.After many days of arranging the lamp, ended up with a custom table lamp.Could see this being great for on a wall behind a gaming monitor.As long as you can mount into a wall, wouldn't recommend if your renting.The floor or table base is really solid and holds the lamp really well.Overall.I'm using as a wall slash table lamp.Can easily change my lighting with just a few clicks on the remote.Easily adjust the lighting depending on my daily project.With a simple twist or use of the allen key, I can make physical adjustments to the lamp shape.Still a great value.Hope this was helpful.

i really love the style of this light love the brightness the ease of use and the fact that putting it together was easy. the size of it makes it easy to put any where and everywhere
