Eels and Escalators was introduced in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Sailor Mouth", as a parody of the popular real-life board game, "Snakes and Ladders". Some people call Snakes and Ladders "Chutes and Ladders", but it's pretty much the same thing. Anyway, have fun, and please don't utter Bad Word #11 (or any other word included in Mr. Krabs' List of 13 Bad Words You Should Never Use). I highly recommend Eels and Escalators, especially if you're a SpongeBob fan.

Bought this game before of my nostalgia for SpongeBob and I can tell you it did not disappoint. I brought this over at a party and we started playing it and we had a blast. There are variety of modes to play from basic tv version rules to more complex one. You have to build the escalators and eels but they aren't hard at all to assemble. Definitely recommend this board game and hope they do a legit version of the flying Dutchmen board game with real pirate booty.

The game is super fun! It's a strategy game for sure, it's nothing like chutes and ladders. This is my favorite game out of this one and flying Dutchman's treasure hunt.

So I’m not the most experienced board game player. By that I mean my experience is limited to board games like clue, life, and monopoly. But there is a much more advanced level of board game that I only barely became somewhat acquainted with, games like settlers of Catan or other games that come in thick boxes because the games are so structured. This game may not be at the level of Catan but it is definitely above a normal snakes and ladders parody. There is an amount of talent and planning that clearly went into this game, like it wasn’t blown off and some kids game or just a parody game. This is an intense, I’d argue complicated, game that a lot of love clearly went into. While it may be nothing special for advanced board game players, it’s a lot for basic me. There is a way to play a simplified version, but making this game a serious board game has me at a level of appreciated beyond what I expected. So if the price seems excessive, think of it as one of those more structured games if that helps justify the price. I got mine at over half off and while that was still a lot to me, playing the game made me realize why it was so pricy.

The game inside seems to be fine and all the part are here but very disappointing the box was already falling apart.
