If you own a very nice, expensive
Purchased this for a sneaker bottom application. If you own a very nice, expensive, or rare pair of shoes that you want to protect whether it be artwork, traction, or translucent bottoms, this is an absolute must have. Thanks to this product I’m no longer afraid or timid to wear my shoes out in public in fear of destroying he bottoms. Pretty simple application process and you only need household tools Sharpie/pencil Cardboard(for template) Scissors Heat gun 1.) trace bottom of desired show with a sharpie into carboard or hardstock 2.) place the template from (step 1) over the film and cut with scissors 3.)peel back protective film and adhere to bottom of shoes 4.) hold heat gun at mid-high heat about 8-12” away from film and move heat gun continuously.(do not hold in on spot too long, this may lead to discoloration of shoe sole. 5.) after about 10-15 seconds you should notice the film forming onto the shoe. At that point, with your fingers or another object you can push the film into the grooves and around the edges of the shoe bottom to create a seamless bond. This is only my experience so if you feel unsure about the heat gun part of this process be your own judge on that.

Great protection for my new wheelchair
I purchased this to protect side panels of my new wheelchair since I knew I would scratch them in the first week while getting used to it. And I did hit door frames several times while going through door ways. The film got scratched but it protected the side panels very well. I wouldn't say putting it on was easy. But I expected it because of its size. As long as you got enough patience, you can apply large films like this without having too many bubbles. Just go slowly. Peeling off is easy and leave no marks or damage the surface. I am ordering more so I can replace the one currently on my wheelchair after it get "enough" scratches.

Does a very good job, packaging is unfortunate.
I purchased this for a somewhat strange purpose: coating a bike. I ride a fairly nice road bike around campus to and from class often, but still want to keep it looking good. I bought this to keep it from getting scratched by bike racks and careless others. When I first pulled it out of the package (a very small tube), the thing would not stay straight. In order to make it usable I had to put weight on it for a few hours to get it to flatten out and be workable. Installing took a while (3ish hours), but all in all it wasn't too difficult. I used a solution of a few drops of Dawn dish soap in a cleaned out Windex spray bottle to apply. I also used an old credit card to smooth out bubbles, and a box cutter and scissors for cutting. (Sharp scissors worked better in my experience) Once the coating was on, I left it for about 30 minutes, then came back and made sure all the edges stayed down. If I'm totally honest, it looked like utter crap for the first week. I stuck it out because similar products that I've used on digital devices looked better after a few days. Luckily, 3 weeks later, I can barely see the cover even up close. Far away it is entirely unnoticeable. I have since dropped the bike and have 0 scratches on the frame. Buy it! But make sure you're willing to put in time to make it look good.

Great product. Install can be difficult.
I covered my headlights to protect for uv and chips. They've been on for about 5 months now. Still look new. Installing can be a pain depending on the application. My headlights are all rounded and curves, with no flat surfaces, so it was not fun. But that's not the products fault.

Instructions for use.
INSTRUCTIONS below are from "Clear Mask" website They also have kits and how to videos I don't work for them (haha) but the clear bra came with no instructions at all and I found this site to be helpful. Tools & Materials Recommended •Soft Installation Squeegee •1 quart spray bottles (quantity: 2) •Baby shampoo •70% Isopropyl Rubbing alcohol •Non Scratch Detailing Cloth CLEAR BRA KITS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Surface must be clean, free of wax, grease, bugs, etc., and between 55ºF & 90ºF. Clean surface thoroughly with alcohol solution. 2. Clean your hands thoroughly and keep your fingers wet, as they will come in contact with the adhesive side of the material occasionally and wet fingers will not stick to material or leave marks on it. 3. Check part position, shape, and size before installing. 4. Spray solution on vehicle surface. 5. Pull protective liner back to expose adhesive. Spray with solution. Position clear bra on vehicle. As long as there is solution under the paint protection film, it can be repositioned. REMEMBER: You cannot use too much solution! 6. Spray solution on top of the paint protection film so squeegee will not stick or scratch the film. Starting in center, squeegee out solution and any bubbles. Overlap squeegee strokes to avoid leaving any bubbles under material. 7. For recessed areas or compound curves, rewet the adhesive and slowly squeegee again with firm pressure. The material will stretch some. Some pieces will require stretching to obtain proper fit and to conform to the contour of curves. 8. If any edge has lifted or won’t stay down, spray with a solution of 20% isopropyl alcohol and 50% water, and work down edge with lint free paper towel. The towel will absorb the liquid so the material will adhere to the painted surface. Sometimes if you give the edge a few minutes to dry, it will stay down. SLIP SOLUTION: 32OZ SPRAY BOTTLE: 3 DROPS OF JOHNSON & JOHNSON BABY SHAMPOO! TACK SOLUTION: 32OZ SPRAY BOTTLE: FILL WITH 12OZ OF 70% ISOPROPANOL 24OZ OF WATER!
