Annie Lennox delivered this rousing and mournful classic 90's album and offered us a wonderful set of songs and haunting arrangements slash melodies. Her voice is just unique and here she just shines against some very polished production, so far so nineties...I have often wondered what these songs would have sounded like in a less production filled space/decade and lets not quibble shall we...errr..ok then?I love the middle/end section of this album, the cracking singles, 'Cold, Precious, Why , Broken Glass, & Little Bird' pepper the album with all that you expect from Annie in this period of her career, but the vocals and mixes on the later parts of this album are a wonder, even on my mid range hifi/Gramophone. A total melancholy joy, full of raucous flair, with heart breaking lyrics, soaring vocal delivery and catchy tunes ago-go. A treat to re-visit after all this time, hope you got the message here! and stop.....

Annie Lennox has been a part of growing up years and her music has influenced me to stay true to my roots as an aspiring singer. Having said that, the vinyl re-issue has brought me back in time when it was first released. The pressing was so good as if it was recorded back in the early 90's. Her voice sounds warm and crisp on this format. Perfectly made 180-gram vinyl. The inner sleeves were a bit torn due to the sharp side of the vinyl and maybe due to how it was handled when delivered via DHL. Glad it was delivered with a tracking number via DHL.

Brings me back to my twenties when music was original. Classic.

I love this album, and I used to have it on tape. Never got around to buying it on CD. Am very pleased that it was available to download in MP3 format.
