I was wary about buying this because of the review saying that this wire was difficult to solder, but I needed 6 core wire for a project, and I wanted the wire to have these colours - so I gambled and bought it. And I have to say that I have found no special difficulty with soldering. Yes, the insulation is PVC so you have to work quickly, but I have had no difficulty getting solder to stick to the metal within. However I dipped the wire tips in a good flux just to be sure of that part. Being PVC you can expect the insulation to shrink back 2-3mm from the soldering iron heat, but work fast and it isn't a problem. I would have no problem buying this again. One star knocked off because it's PVC instead of silicone, but IMO it doesn't deserve to be penalized more than that, especially given the convenience (not having to buy a 50m reel when I only need 200mm) and the low price.

Bought to connect volume control unit to jukebox, does the job

Purchased this cable to solder to existing cable, this proved impossible as this cable is unable to be tinned with solder, therefore to me a total waste of money

The cord was fine but I didn't need to use it after all. I kept it as couldn't get to the post office. Also my fault.
