Great for homelabs
This is a perfect fit for a small homelab. Basic management functions and vlan tagging. I use OPNsense which does all the heavy lifting so all I really needed was basic routing with vlan functionality. For your AP set that port as a trunk to allow the vlans through. I haven't verified speeds yet but in reality, for this price, I won't complain of it falls short. If you're counting as this being an "all in one" you won't be satisfied. I understand why it's marked as "frequently returned" because if you don't have the other layers than it won't work. I was originally going to buy the big tp-link POE but thos and a POE injector was really all I needed. Now after my network grows it may be an issue but for now, I'm pleased and feel the price point is perfect. I'm not dropping hundreds of dollars for a switch that I won't need a good portion of.

Great Unmanaged 10Gb Switch
I've not had the thermal/throttling issues some others have had with this unit, but I used the included magnets to attach it to the case of an old Optiplex I use as a pfSense box, which might be helping. It acts as a kingpin in my home network - all of my 10Gb traffic passes through its SFP ports - and it works great. I'm able to get full 10Gb to my router from my 4 10Gb devices and max out my 1.2Gb WAN connection. I only have two devices plugged into the RJ45 ports though - an AP and a Hue Bridge that are both only 1G, so I can't report on thermals if you fully saturate the 2.5Gb ports. Small side note, I can't stop reading the brand name as "fifty dolla", which is hilarious.

Works - but NOT particularly long lasting
Really nice functionality for SOHO/Home network environment in cheap package. However...first unit lasted only about 18 months. Then regular Ethernet port portion died. Not sure why, but I suspect either poorly designed heatsink or random side of loose quality control. Hopefully not part design issue. I will find out in another few years. Do not expect 20 year life of HP or Cisco enterprise switches but 5-8 years would be nice. The 10G ports work great as a high speed network backbone to daisy chain links to other small switches. But I am fairly sure you need to be really careful what you buy as modular SFP+ connectors if you plan on hooking one of the 10G ports directly to a computer. Modules intended for switch to switch backbones may not implement normal Ethernet protocol - especially flow control and collision avoidance.

Excellent Multi-Gig Switch with High Performance
I integrated this 24 Port 2.5Gb Unmanaged Switch into my network setup, and it has been working flawlessly for my needs. The 24 x 2.5G Base-T ports offer ample connectivity for all my devices, and the two 10Gb SFP ports are a fantastic addition for high-speed uplinks. While I haven't utilized the VLAN feature yet, the plug-and-play design made installation straightforward and hassle-free. One thing to be mindful of is that the SFP ports tend to get quite hot during operation. Since the switch is fanless, it's important to keep it well-ventilated to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The 160Gbps switching capacity ensures smooth and efficient data transfer across the network. Its 1U rack-mount design fit perfectly into my existing setup, and the build quality feels robust and reliable. If you're looking for a solid multi-gig unmanaged switch with plenty of ports and excellent performance, I highly recommend this one. Just make sure to provide adequate ventilation to handle the heat from the SFP ports. It's been a great addition to my network infrastructure, and I'm very satisfied with its performance!

Good value, runs cool.
Quiet, cool little 2.5gB switch. I only used the Ethernet ports and that’s what I’m reviewing. I did not use the fiber transceivers. The switch flows at wire speed even when loaded. It is solid and well made. The metal case is a plus and sure helps with keeping the switch cool under load. The “mount to another metal surface for additional cooling” seems a bit gimmicky but…. If you want to mount it in a big metal plate and drill holes to attach the switch, go for it! I would buy this switch again, especially if I am going to use a fiber component in the LAN. Good value.

Can't Keep Settings. Junk.
This switch is the same unit as the MokerLink 8 Port 2.5 Gigabit Managed Switch. Same firmware with Sodola branding. These switches will not kept the settings after reboot. That makes them useless. What's the point have having a managed switch if it reverts to dumb after reboot. If you are not having this issue then you are likely not using any of the settings. Even a static ip is lost.

Lightweight, compact managed switch which supports basics and high bandwidth
Lightweight, compact managed switch which supports basic LACP and high bandwidth through the SFP+ ports. what is not to like? the aluminum house should also make heat dissipation a non-concern. Was plug-n-play to use as switch. using the instructions to access the out-of-the-box subnet setting. I was able to update the managed switch settings to use local DHCP to assign a LAN address, and update the admin user password, as well as configure other settings. Now my dual 2.5 GbE port NAS is using LACP link aggregation.

Easy Setup for Fast Little Switch
Setup was super simple and I set up a 4 port link aggregation as trunk by adding 4 VLANs and start iperf testing in under 5 minutes. Fantastic little switch that peaked at 9.8 GB/s on my first test. I had never heard of Sodola before but will be looking at them for my future networking needs. My only complaint is the switch is sent with a static IP at 192.168.2.1 and you have to update your IP addresses to access it to turn on DHCP.

Price point is low and on the face of it, it seems like a good deal for a web-managed multi gig switch. But (you knew that was coming) it hiccuped a number of times on its connection with other switches and wireless access points, particularly regarding maintaining a VLAN trunk. Rebooting it temporarily fixed things, but eventually the problem came back.

Review of 9 port web managed switch (8x2.5 Gb ports - 1 x 10Gb) I'm really glad I picked this up, replacing my decade old TP Link web managed switch. The Sodola 9 port is less than half the size, which is great as I like my home IT kits to be as invisible as possible these days. Build quality is good. I like the magnetic attachments that come with it, and I'd point out that the magnets are strong enough to hold it in place regardless of the number of cables plugged in. My setup is multi VLAN with a mix of 100Mb, 1Gb and 2.5Gb links. That includes a static LAG with 2 ports in running traffic between floors (I'll switch that to LACP at some point, which is also supported) and also servicing a couple of virtualization hosts, NAS, media server etc. It seems to be packed with a good number of features; I've yet to test them all, but what I have seems to work without bugs, quirks or caveats. The web UI is simple and intuitive if you've used these things before. Lightweight and functional rather than over the top. You'll soon get things up and running (remember to save config after successful changes). It runs cool for me and should save power compared to my old one. Would definitely consider buying this brand again.
