I used this post hospitalization for a heart problem. Worked great, stiff enough to hold me up, soft enough for comfort.

I ordered this after I got some advice about my upcoming total hysterectomy. It came vacuum sealed in a teeny tiny box, and when I sliced open that package, this bad boy roared to life. It says give it something like 12 hours to fully bounce back and to air out any smells. I didn't notice any weird smells. I provided a roku remote in the pic so you can get a sense of scale. You can flip this guy over to get different inclines. It's dense and firm. Slap one of your normal fluffy pillows on top of it if you can't sleep on firm surfaces. But for real though, this was a life saver. I'm 6 days post op now and have used it every day and it's been fantastic. Even after I'm healed, I'm gonna keep it around for reading in bed lol

The wedge pillow is very firm, which i like. It is very high compared to simply using a few pillows, but that's what i wanted as well. My only complaint is the material utilized for the covering, it is slippery and it pills (little balling on the surface and almost like it snags). A higher quality covering would be beneficial but does the job just fine.

I have severe neck and back problems, and sleeping on the flat bed with a traditional pillow had become painful and ruined my sleep. My physical therapist recommended getting a wedge pillow. I couldn't find anything in town, so I looked on Amazon. He suggested I NOT get a memory foam one because it would not give me enough support.There are dozens of wedge pillows on Amazon, from many different companies. For 2 days I scoured the descriptions and reviews to figure out which ones were not memory foam (most are) and which had the best customer reviews. This one seemed the best and the 14 inch seemed the best height.The pillow came quickly, and it unrolled (they're rolled tight for shipping) easily, was usable within 12 hours, and had no bad smell. The shape and consistency of the foam is very good support for my back and neck. I'm sleeping much better and have less pain overall. The cover is very nice and easy to sleep on. The cover is permanent and not removable for washing.Two considerations:1. Although the foam was very good support, it is a bit too firm for sleeping. I ordered a 4 inch memory foam "topper" for a twin bed (closest to the wedge pillow size). I cut the topper to fit the top of the wedge pillow (not easy but doable). I used a piece of the leftover memory foam to make a neck pillow. This made the wedge pillow higher, which works better for my neck, and makes the whole arrangement soft enough to sleep on.2. I really recommend taking the time to read all descriptions of wedge pillows and the reviews for the ones that interest you. The differences are subtle but important for you to get what you want.

I have had piriformis syndrome for quite some time and this pillow alleviated a lot of those problematic nights of sleep. The height is perfect to get you elevated higher than the normal wedge pillow. Very lightweight and easy to move. Gives you the perfect support and comfort that you will need to get a full night's sleep. The exterior can also be easily removed and machine washed if you spill anything. I do recommend letting the case air-dry. Just a personal preference. HAPPY SLEEPING!

Foam smelly until aired out several days (without cover on it). Washed cover on gentle cycle and dried prior to use. Was fairly easy to reinstall over the foam. Foam is quite stiff and does not give a whole lot. Feels fairly "hard" against your back or side. Not as hard as a wooden board though! Not particularly comfortable for this user. Also tend to slide down the wedge. Helpful to sit up some for watching TV or reading in bed so will keep for that purpose, but for sleeping comfort leaves something to be desired. This item is definitely supportive, but not soft or "cushy" to make it more comfortable. Might try a model with memory foam top.

I originally bought this to help with my husbands stomach problems but my children have loved this pillow so much they fight over it. My daughter originally stole it because she loved it and then my son (severe asthma and lung problems) got sick so we had him use it to help prop him up during the night. It helped a lot and he didn’t get as gunky as he usually gets. My husband uses it to prop himself up after eating to help with gastritis. We like that you can position it at 2 different inclines depending on which side you lay it on and can use it under your legs if you’re having some back pain. We will end up buying a second one since everyone is fighting over it.

quality product, firm enough yet still soft for comfort, 12 inch high is a good enough elevation without causing discomfort, product had a slight smell at first but dissipated after a day. I would buy again if needed.
