super cute mini mahjong set. very easy to travel with.

Bottom line: Don’t make this your primary set. But if you need a portable, lightweight set for a few quick rounds this will do great. Also note, this is a Chinese set and lacks the jokers you need for American mahjong. And no tiles are labeled in English. I ended up labeling my own set.Pros:+ Compact and lightweight. This can go anywhere with you. It’s a good lunchtime or travel set.+ The rack pushers work well and help a lot with these small tiles.+ Tiles are cleanly engraved and painted.+ The included booklet is actually really good and details rules and scoring.Cons:- The covered cardboard case is already coming apart. Don’t expect this to last. I’m going to replace it with a plastic storage case.- Tiles are unlabeled. If you can’t read Chinese you might find reading the numbers suit difficult.These tiles are just going to be too small for more than a few rounds. Compare them next to the micro SD card. After that is a 30mm tile and a 40mm tile. I’d say go no smaller than 30mm for a regular, full-time mahjong set. But for what this is, it’s good. I could actually stuff this in a suitcase or backpack and hardly notice it at all.

These are perfect for traveling! The case isn’t super strong, but does the job. I found a nice bag at home to put the case and tiles in for additional support.

Case fell apart as soon as I opened it. Perfect size except I didn’t read closely enough that it isn’t American mahjong. Can’t figure out how to buy joker tiles in the same size to convert this but otherwise good deal for the money

I got it as a present for my cousin (none of us in the family had ever played Mahjong, except for me, and I wanted to introduce them to the game). It's not the nicest-looking set, but it does its job. The tiles are pretty small, but the characters on the tiles are clearly written and carved into the tile, so they won't get erased easily. The box is cheap, and I am pretty sure the vegan leather will start piling after some usage, but I got it during Prime days for $17 or something and didn't expect more. Just be aware and adjust expectations accordingly. The instructions were mostly clear, though maybe somewhat complex in some places. Overall, I liked the purchase. Great for beginners.

Mahjong is not the easiest game to transport. I had a micro travel size set before which was great with kids but this was better now that the kids have grown up. It feels like the real tiles, just a portable version. What set this one apart was the clear holder. My prior set was like an L stick holder but too risky to tip over. This was perfect and could stand alone. The picture is misleading because I had just laid down a winning hand- the holder made it easy to do that dramatically with a flourish upon winning! We took this on a cruise and drew in many appreciative looks and some envy from another party that schlepped along a full size set. Didn’t add any weight or bulk to restrictive carryon limits. Love this set and highly recommend!

I love the little clicking sound they make when you pick them up. Very nice quality worth every penny! Easy to store too!
