Fun cards which make learning fun but it is dependent on the educational level of the players :)
This is a fun card game that you can use to either improve someone's grammar/spelling/english fluency in a way or well, not, depending on where they might be educationally speaking. My soon to be 9yr old (going into 4th grade in a few months) found them fun but I don't think in the few times we used them so far that she really got as much from them as her sister who is 7 and starting 3rd grade next year. Upon reflection I'd say these might be really great for someone around the first grade level going into second or coming out of Kinder.Caveat, there are many ways to play games with these cards we've only explored a few, plus there is suppose to be a free app to download and use which we've not tried yet so really given the cards have already a bit of fun and we see more use from them at this price point and an app and the notion there still may be different ways to play and learn I'd say its a great gift and 5 stars!

Advanced for my 7 year old
I thought this would be good to help support my 7 year old learning to read since they are a bit behind on reading. This game was a bit challenging for her so we had to modify it. Probably better for practice for older kids than learning for younger kids.

Fun for reading skills practice
My son is 5 1/2 and currently learning to read. We've played the first two games shown on the instructions for these cards, but not the third because it seems too advanced for him right now. We both enjoyed the games and the words were ones that he could read without much difficulty. It is important to me is that he feels successful in his reading journey right now and this game helped him feel that way. He is still at the point of learning traditional words (not ones that go against the phonics rules or have unusual silent letters) and this set used only those. There are some words that have a picture that we would not have expected, like PEG for what we call a clothespin, but maybe that's a southern thing.Overall, a fun way to test out those reading skills we've been working on.

LOVE IT!!!
This is great for young readers to learn or strengthen their skills. My 5 (almost 6) year old played it with my wife last night, then was able to teach a couple of the game styles to me today. The game itself and the box it comes in are of the highest quality materials. Kudos to the game makers for making this a priority! The first game play style was essentially UNO which means kids will pick up the game play really quickly. It also got my child more excited about learning the other versions.I will say my stay at home wife was a former early education teacher, and my kid can already read most age appropriate books with relatively few issues. He could already read pretty much all of the words in this. However, some of the gameplay is built on speed. This had him trying to read through the words as fast as he could which will turn these into sight words for him.I love games like this that get kids excited to play and learn at the same time!

A great teaching tool
This item was shipped on time and came as described. I got these for preschool teachers to assist in their lessons. I have received positive feedback from them. They said the cards are a great teaching tool. They come highly recommended.

Great classroom resource
I love games that are educational but cleverly disguised to just appear as fun! I work with children in a resource room setting and I like to end our sessions with something fun and engaging. This set has several options for playing depending on the ability of the students. This is perfect for me as I see kids from K-3rd grade. This is something I can participate in and play along, but I can also put it out as a center or have the kids play independently with each other as I observe or coach them. Overall, this is a well thought out game, lot of options and it appears to be well made to boot which is important in a classroom setting as it will get abused! Reasonably priced too for an education product!

Fun set with several games
I am tutoring my 8 year old grandson who is a reluctant reader, and games are the way to go with him. This set of cards has a lot of words and several games to play with the cards in addition to using them as plain old flashcards. He is enjoying them and is recognizing more and more words, so I am very thankful for these cards.

Really fun learning game!
My wife is a preschool teacher and loves playing this game with our 4-year-old. There are many different ways to play and the cards are beautiful, bright colors. She even took it to school to play in small groups and she said it was pretty good at holding kids' attention and getting them to think.

If you love UNO you will love this.
The quality is fantastic for the price! I think this is my favourite AGO game yet. Great to get kids reading their CVCs and they had so much fun they didnt realise they were learning too!
