Recessed Screw Extractor with 2-in-1 Bit Set, a Unique Professional Tool by Vampire Tools

Great for extracting number two screws that I stripped with a regular # 2 screwdriver on a automotive throttle body. I didn’t realize that those screws are of the Japanese size (JIF) until a YouTube video explained it. Luckily, I can order the JIF screwdriver along with the JIF fasteners. Lesson learned a lesson saved by Amazon.

This is a gift for a friend, but I have bought other Vampire tools, notably the Vampires, and they have been well-made, fun to use and very practical. These promise to be the same. They fill a gap in most tool chests and I am sure they will be greatly appreciated. And while I haven't road tested them, based on prior experience and examination of them, I would recommend them!

I deal with a lot of Phillips head machine screws at my job. For screws that aren’t super glued into the holes (previous mechanics cheating), super corroded, seriously over torqued and so on. The partial damage bit, works the majority of the time.I can get it into tighter spaces by using a 1/4” ratcheting box end, instead of the supplied T handle. I’m pretty good at drilling and extracting bad screws, but it’s really nice to have a good shot of avoiding that. Simply by using this tool.If you deal with #2 Phillips heads a few times a week, then I think it’s worth getting.

When I first received I thought it was just a cheap screw extraction kit but come to find out it actually grips recessed screws that are no longer able to access with regular #2 bits. Could lint recommend a better tool.

I wish they made this in 1” or 2” bits. This thing is amazing on stripped aircraft hardware.
