I love this shampoo. I was looking for a good substitute for another brand whose ownership and formula had changed for the worse. Packer's has been around a long time and works great. It lathers up very well and I just love that fresh pine smell!

My husband loves this brand and has been using it for years and refuses to use anything else. Says it really helps with dandruff and dry scalp issues. The smell is a little strong but the effectiveness of the product trumps that.

Conditions my thick hair just fine, is easy to rinse out, and leaves hair nice and soft, and I really wanted to like this product, but I just can't get past the scent. It reminds me less of actual pine trees and more of a certain "pine-scented" household cleaning product.

Great product...insane price. I'm obsessed with packer stuff I use the soap bars. Shampoo and conditioner. The body wash is the worst value and haven't bought it again. The conditioner keeps my beard fairly soft and as every review mentions the smell is unique. The bar soap will leave your house smelling crazy (I like it) the shampoo smells less strong, and the body wash and conditioner smell least strong, almost root beer like. Great product, but the price is nuts (yet I keep buying...so there you have it)

More of a pine pitch/sap smell, strongly woody or smoky almost. Realized this is what the smell was based on after chopping an old dead pine full of pitch down recently. This does have a more thick consistency than most modern conditioners. Seemed to not help moisten my scalp, as dandruff seemed more prevalent using this than my last conditioner. Smells good, but not what I was looking for, which is more of a pine forest floor/pine needle scent.

Helps with dandruff and makes hair feel very clean n soft long as you dont mind smelling just like a smokey camp fire cause you will smell just like you walked away from a smokey fire...other than that it works great and only need like a pea sized amount and lathers up great
