Does what it should
I've used cheaper alternatives when it comes to extending USB long lengths and they produced inadequate results. This one is the best I've used to date if you're willing to pay for it.

Finally one that works! (Telescope Control)
Finally! I went through three different extenders like this. One which stated USB 2.0 and wasn't, and one that just didn't work (IO Gear one).I'm using this to remotely control my telescope from inside over 100ft of Cat6. The previous ones would only allow me to intermittently connect to my telescope mount and camera. I was riddled with errors on my laptop. I plugged this one in and BOOM, worked flawlessly. This kit is heavy and feels like quality.Little rubber pads come provided, and are a nice addition. If you're looking for something that works, skip the junk and get this one. Twice the price, pay once. Worth it in my opinion. I will be looking to Star Tech for any future purchases.

Digital Noise and Delay with Audio
I'm trying to extend the USB audio from a Behringer Wing console. We have the remote device powered and connected to the audio console. And the local device connected to a MacBook running Logic Pro.We're able to see the Wing console interfaces populate. But the audio is unacceptable. The audio sounds delayed. It sounds like you can here the remote device sending power over the wire. Like ditigal Morse code.I purchased the device that supports up to 165ft. We've remade our CAT6 by hand a few times with a 115ft run. And then purchased a factory made, 125ft, shielded CAT6. And we're still having the same issue. Is this a known issue? Do we need to return/replace this device? Do we need power at both ends of this USB extender? We only recieved one power cord. Do we need to try the device that supports ~300 ft? Thanks.

Poor transmission, drops
Connected regular small USB Logitech web camera (that supports only 720p resolution), used CAT6 cable - about 40 meters long. It works, but image intermittently gets scrambled, then restored to normal for a 10-15 seconds, then gets scrambled again. Will return this one and look for another usb extender.
