Final setup with 15m Cat 6 ethernet cable between Extender's sender at my computer and Extender's receiver at my printer and connection worked just the same as my initial trial using 1m USB 2.0 A-B cable between computer and printer. No drivers. Plug in and connect! Well pleased with extender.

The U.K. power socket provided doesn’t fit the power supply. I can’t use the item.

This is absolutely life saver! Due to social distancing I Needed to connect my x32 audio mixer to a Pc 20 meters away from sound booth for mixing livestream. I tried a couple dongles and they would work on a hard drive and Usb sticks but they would not work on audio interfaces or to connect an ASIO device, but this device worked flawlessly and I use my mixer as an audio interface working with Cubase recording 32 channels of audio over 20 meters cat6 cable for hours without any dropout. It’s fantastic and I just hope it lasts.

Expensive, but easier to set up than one of those badly made Chinese IP webcams that require you to install dodgy software in order to function (my previous attempt at setting up a camera away from the PC). Just plug in and go!

Bought to be used on a 30m run but wont work, less than 15m it works bit of a shame

The item arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I have a ~1.5m UTP Cat5 Cable that it works perfectly well with. I purchased 100m F/UTP Cat5e Cable and measured out 45m of it, and it did not work with this cable. Using an ammeter I tested every connector and ground at both ends of the Cat5e cable, and then the four USB pins and ground at both ends of the extender, AND my USB 2.0 cable that I was connecting my device with, and all connections were fine, but for some reason my computer was not detecting the device. I cut 15m from the remaining 55m, and did the same tests, and it worked for the 15m but not the 40m (which at this point was definitely less than 40m as i have re-cut and terminated the cable multiple times to ensure the termination is perfect. Given that it DOES NOT work at even 40m I'm not impressed.

I ended up getting this because the cheap passive adaptors I had wouldn't work properly with an xbox one controller. The controller would work with the exception of the thumbsticks. This works great straight out of the box and looks the part too. Worth every penny.

Wanted to mount a Logitech HD webcam on top of my TV then back to a remote PC (5+metres away) via existing ethernet. Worked immediately, no issues. I wish there was a USB to jack power adapter to power the remote unit (in my case power it from a spare USB socket on the TV screen), which would make this an excellent five-star item. I easily made one myself.
