Let's Get To It

I think the main thing that people buy the Aussie version of this album is for the Summer Breeze edit (the Australian single mix) of "Word is out". The only other place that's available on is the Aussie CD single of "Word is out", which can sell for £40 upwards. At least you can get it on the album for around £1, a big price difference !! A brilliant album, containing 4 strong singles "Word is out". "If you were with me now" (one of Kylie's best singles, yet she never performs it live), "Give me just a little more time" (Her last top 5, no.2, for PWL) and "Finer Feelings". At this stage, 1991 all the 10 year olds that had only bought her record because she was in "Neighbors" had long deserted her. From then on it was Kylie fans that bought her records, not Charlene Robinson (Her "Neighbors" character) fans.

This is Kylie's last album with Stock Aitken and Waterman and also shows how she co-wrote tracks to how she was growing as a person and an artist, great tracks with fantastic remixes.This makes me wish she would hook up with Mike Stock to do another album.

A fantastic final album with PWL with many varying styles. Kylie is on board with Mike Stock on writing duties and it is a perfect choice for all Kylie fans. Matt Aitken had left by this point there is a definite change in pace. All the extra versions and mixes are most welcome beautifully put together with a comprehensive booklet.

All those extended versions appeared years ago in four great double cd australian releases as KYLIE'S GREATEST REMIXES VOL 1, 2, 3, 4 If u missed them and u don't have kylie's cd singles then this is a must have or else don't throw your money if u already own those aus releases.

This is just a great album to listen to.it brings back loads of memories.

"Let Get To It" is one of the best albums Kylie ever made. However, it's a real shame that this album is quite underrated and it's so hard to find to purchase on any store or digital retailer. It's all a musical master piece, a must-have for any Kylie fan, like me. I recommend you to purchase this album, it's pure 90's pop music and dance music.

My favourite album of the PWL. This was a more mature and dance oriented album. This saw the departure of Aitken from the writing team. Kylie took part of in the writing process. Her last album for PWL.

Only 3 years between her debut and "Let's get to it", it is unbelievable how much Kylie really changed and developed. Whereas previous album "Rhythm of love" cemented her signature sound, as well as her increasing gay icon status, on this, Kylie took more creative control, and quite a risk by changing her sound to a more urban feel. Obviously not concerned with just scoring hits, she adopted a more refined approach to her work, and felt more than happy to get as far away as she could from the control and confines at PWL (by the time this was released, Matt Aitken had left the SAW team). Although "Let's get to it" did not sell as well as its predecessors, that did not discourage Kylie. She continued in this direction on her 1994-1997 releases, where she got to fully blossom into an underground diva. As far as this new enhanced and expanded edition is concerned, though I am not a fan of big-sized box sets, the care given into assembling this heirloom-quality LP-size box set is rare. Presented in truly luxurious manner, and featuring promo videos, special TV appearances, tons of remixes, photos and notes to enjoy, this is one of the most fantastic and beautifully presented pop reissues. The remastering is excellent, too. This is a fan's delight, so, if you have to have a Kylie item that is worth owning, this is worth splashing out for it - I am super pleased I did!
