I’ve heard about this book for a while and finally read it in January with my book club. Because I was reading with them on call, I read the book over three Saturdays. Otherwise, I might have finished it in one day because of how gripping it is.This is How You Lose the Time War is a sci-fi saphhic romance featuring robotic creatures (?) who fall in love via ingenious letters. It took a while for me to get used to the writing style and understand what was happening but I was never bored. The book kept me on the edge with every chapter.The story progression was amazing. The budding romance was done very well. The letters full of PINING and LOVE were ripping my heart out. The time travel twist at the end was highly satisfying and clever. And all of it in about 200 pages! It is a confusing book but it’s great and I definitely recommend it.

I read this on a plane on the way home and I couldn't put it down. It gave me a lump in my throat and was a synesthetic experience like no other. I can't recommend this highly enough and am pestering my boyfriend to read it. Both the plot and the writing are so beautiful.

This is the book I was waiting for and I didn't even know! So beautiful! Such a feast for the senses! If you want to be transported, please read this book.

omg this book was another top fave of 2021!!!I feel like half the book flew over my head, but the vibes were just IMMACULATE!!!!! The copy I received was made with low quality paper, and the ink was faded in several parts, making it difficult to read.Some of the pages were also not printed in alignment.Content aside, the quality of the print does not justify the price.

The book is good, there’s no doubt about that. However the quality in which it was delivered is questionable. I brushed it off previously as faulty products are a genuine mistake, so I exchanged the book for a new piece and it was still dirty and had creases on the cover. Most probably the seller’s fault, won’t buy from them again.

The book arrived in a box that was in perfect condition. The problem is the quality of the cut. Seems like a second copy print version - which was definitely not mentioned on the listing. I would strongly advise against buying from this seller / listing for this particular book.Note - I’d ordered two more books from another seller, that arrived at the same time in a different box - in perfect condition. Which is why I think this is the seller’s fault.

I got this book after following the saga of maskofbun, and I wasn’t sure what I’d think since I’ve not read much sci-fi romance (if any). It’s one of the most unique books I’ve read in a while! I read it in one sitting - I absolutely couldn’t put it down! Do yourself a favor and read this masterpiece. This is the enemies-to-lovers trope done in the most beautiful, poetic way. I recommend it to everyone in my circle and even got my boyfriend to read it (I may have mentioned it enough times to drive him up the wall, but I have NO regrets).

Worth the hype - unlike anything you've ever read (in a good way).

Yes I'm serious, I liked this book so much that I ordered a second copy to gift to a friend. It is, in my opinion, at times desperately romantic - When I finished it, I did not know whether to laugh or cry or curse each and every god there is. Genuinely hard hitting in the emotional department if you let it and immerse yourself in this beautiful and terrible romance.Only part I was a bit unhappy about is the b-plot going almost unexplored... if there's ever a version of this book with more surrounding context and world explored, I hope amz will hound me with ads😂Also people who think romances should include raunchy bits look elsewhere. Not that type of book (which makes it a plus in mine!)
