Amazon FreshOrganic Fair Trade Peru Ground Coffee, Medium Roast, 12 Ounce (Pack of 3)

I was exhausted, preparing for overnight guests, and out of coffee. Another trip to the grocery was out of the question. Amazon! And Amazon coffee showed in my fair trade search! Why not. It arrived the next morning (Thanks, Prime!) and proved to be a good choice. Good value and good taste.

I enjoy the Amazon coffee offerings, this one has been a favorite, although I try some other blends and sometimes buy whole bean and do the grinding myself. I pretty much do pour over exclusively these days and find that this makes a very fine cup of coffee at a very good price. Some of my friends are always preaching the necessity of artisan brands, but I find many of them to be expensive, overpriced and again- I really enjoy some of the offerings in the Amazon coffee family.

I expect a Sumatra to be rich, dark, chocolatey, maybe a little earthy, and low in acidity. These are dark but more bitter and acidic than a good Sumatra should be. Other than the fact they are organic, there's not much value here over the (usually) cheaper Amazon brand "go for the bold" coffee.That said, the price on these is often quite good, so if you want organic, it's not a bad choice.

I was buying Starbucks Sumatra from a grocery store down the road but I thought I would give this a try. It's not bad, but it's not RICH coffee. It's just BASIC coffee ☕️ to me. If it's supposed to be rich Sumatra coffee, then perhaps I received a bag that was old or exposed and somehow dried out. It was still very drinkable and good coffee but I wouldn't consider it Premium.

Very smooth fine tasting coffee.Not bitter at all.This is now my new coffee choice.Fine enough to drink black with or without sugar or cream👍But the seams on the bag are not sealed perfectly. Find a few coffee particles escape when bag move.We open the bag and pour into plastic air tight container,like rubber made.If the damned coffee was not so great I would not repurchase.I wrote them to get another packager. BUT GREAT COFFEE

Seems to me it makes a good coffee. Nice of Amazon to offer a discount organic brew. I subscribed.I boil water. Then add 1 tbsp of grounds per 6 oz of water. Stir, don't shake. Put it back into the microwave for 60 seconds. Then pour it through a metal mesh coffee filter. That'll put hair on your chest.Metal mesh coffee filter. No waiting like paper coffee filters that take forever.If that's not bitter enough, you can boil up some Davidson's Organics Cacao Nibs, and mix that in.I like half milk and half half & half.

This coffee is pretty smooth with hints of chocolate. Very good value.
