Great product for solving MIDI to DMX conversion
This is a solidly built compact MIDI to DMX convertor for up to 2 DMX universes. Output 1 covers addresses 1 - 512 and output 2 covers 513-1024 ( starting with a new address 1). So far it is very stable and offers adjustments to break and afterbreak timing for working with older DMX fixtures. OLED display is very sharp and easy to read. Users should be versed in MIDI and DMX protocols to fully understand its capabilities. Minor negatives include inability to power from MIDI cable, or access MIDI data from USB power input. Also, menu items must be stepped through sequentially by rows so manual setup using the encoder knob is a bit slow. A 50 ch fixture would take quite awhile to assign. But once complete the unit has a built in save feature for retrieval later. All settings remain in place after power down. It might be nice to have a MIDI through jack as well. I am using this product for a seasonal public event to drive a DMX fog geyser and a motion head spotlight synced to a MIDI /Audio soundtrack driven by Digital Performer 11. Only a couple of hiccups requiring a reboot of the unit while sending live CC via virtual console sliders.

Great device!
It does what it is supposed to, converts MIDI to DMX. I am now able to control my lights with MIDI, and that is cool! I have been using it for a couple of months, and it has been stable. Just a few minor things: -The plastic knob is too big for the encoder. After two clicks, the plastic knob touched the surface, and I was no longer able to click the encoder. I replaced the big plastic knob with a smaller one, and the issue was solved. -The display did not align with the hole, so it was not possible to read the lower display line, when I got this. I had to open it up (8 screws) to re-align the display. I am happy with this purchase.

Awesome
This has worked great for me. Exactly what I needed. I'm able to control my lights with my computer and via my computer to a MIDI controller. Awesome!

Lights for musicans
Translate midi to dmx very snappy and for that I'm happy. My Doremidi was also already upgeaded and had more functions than I tought. I have to test android combatability still, but all and all I'm happy.

It does what it's designed to do.
It takes some planning, but this works as designed. The push on the knob only works sometimes as indicated in another review. The best way to edit accurately is with the free app, then it works great.

Marche très bien mais la programmation est vite compliquée
Produits qui faitt ce qu'on lui demande, convertir du midi en dmx. Bonne qualité de fabrication, le boîtier est en métal. L'application fonctionne bien, on peut importer/exporter les fixtures via un fichier excel. On peut aussi tester via un mode de console virtuelle. Mais ce qui est dommage, c'est qu'on ne peut pas enregistrer ce qu'on a fait dans la console virtuelle et avoir un preset avec les commandes midi. Il faut donc tout faire à la main et c'est donc vite infernal si on veut faire des programmes sympa. Car si on a appris fixtures bah il faut au mini 10 commandes midi a envoyer. Pour juste faire quelques ambiances de lumière a contrôler avec son multi effets ça fait très bien le job. Mais si vous voulez faire des programmes plus complexes c'est vite très long à faire. J'ai changer mon fusil d'épaule et je suis finalement parti sur une console dmx qui se contrôle en midi. C'est bien plus simple pour faire la programmation.

Super Hilfsmittel
Für diesen MIDI zu DMX-Konverter kann man sich beim Hersteller einen Editor runterladen, der das Erstellen der Umsetzungstabellen erleichtert. Funktioniert prima. Tipp: bei Youtube einfach mal nach "doremidi" suchen, da wird vieles erklärt.
