A bit smaller than expected that's on me though. The ants seem to love it! Looked scratched up at first, but that's because I didn't realize I left that wrap on. Oops.

Very good value for money. Some minor imperfections where the water tower and waste areas leave enough gap that I had ants escape. However, easy enough to fix.I would have no problem ordering another one in the future.

Their are better ant farms, but for the money and the convenience of fast delivery, this ant farm is amazing.

Tiny piece of junk

I bought this for my 12-year-old son and it's been a hit. I didn't realize ants could be so interesting! I did add some tape to hold the "garbage" room tighter to the main room. I'm sure it'd be fine without it, but it seemed to have a little teeny tiny lean to it which led me to believe an ant could crawl out.I bought a few red harvester ants off of Amazon (Insect Lore Tube of Ants) and they seem to be enjoying their home! I'll eventually buy some extension pieces and it looks like they'll fit just fine.

Product is really nice, definitely not some cheap piece of plastic. The design of it is SUPER cool, truly. They really do use the garbage room! Unfortunately, it does have a serious flaw, but since it's fixable I went with 4 stars instead of 3 stars: The magnets keeping the lids on are not strong enough. I was worried by 7 year old would mess up and let the ants out accidentally, but nope that was allllll me! I tried to remove the red "night glass", but accidentally also removed the glass-glass below it. I just yelled "help!!" and family came running to grab the ants. Holy smokes, those little ants hustled outta there LIGHTNING fast! But we got them all. (Note ants themselves do not come with this.)The easy fix I mentioned: Just use some small pieces of scotch tape (with an end tucked under for easy removal when/if you need to clean) to reinforce the magnets. Makes it not as pretty but we don't care, still love it. Fascinating for the whole family.
