It is stove proof!!
The media could not be loaded. Initially bought this for herbal tea making, which works great. Boil the kettle, add your bits and bobs in the middle metal holder add the water and let it brew. However I recently saw on You Tube that someone uses this teapot on the stove and made chai (tea). So, my brave husband and I decided to give it a try on the cooker! Worried that the glass may shatter and keeping it on a small low flame, it actually worked and we ended up with a lovely brew! The only slight negative is that the metal clangs as the teapot bubbles away.

Best one I've used so far!
I'm a huge fan of tea, I have dozens and dozens of different types of loose leaf tea in my "tea cupboard" and I've owned about 4 different pots like this which I have used to make said teas. One of my favourite teas is called Surianalle and this tea is VERY fine. Call it design flaw, call it bad luck, but my previous pots have not been very good for making Surianalle. It's often advised that people just make it in the cup and not bother straining it because it's heavy and stays at the bottom, however in my previous teapots it always made its way into the cup. With this pot, I can go right to the bottom before I get even 1 small bit of tea leaf out of it.Short version: This pot has a nice wide bottom design and the strainer has VERY small holes which makes it ideal for fine teas like Surianalle.Filling this pot to just under the top handle will get you 2 cups and a bit left over (good to leave a bit at the bottom). The bottom of the chamber sits approximately 2cm from the bottom of the pot and the holes reach the very top of the chamber. This pot is easy to clean, just make sure you don't leave made tea in there for days and days. It's easy to carry, easy to pour and doesn't spill when you do poor it.So far this is the best of these pots that I've used so far and 2 of my previous ones were far more expensive. This one is perfect especially considering its low price.Enjoy!

Lovely teapot
Nice size, good filter, strains out all tea leaves but allows flavour to develop

Perfect one cup for loose leaf lovers
I love loose leaf tea. I have a few tea pots and this one was bought as it is the right size for two mugs of tea which is what we make the most often. The infusion basket has very fine holes, it doesn't achieve 100% migration - unless you are using very large leaf teas, most mainstream loose leaf has some fine grains that still make it through but it is a really really small amount. This is the best I have found so far for preventing leaf migration. The design of this pot is really nice it looks lovely and you can see the colour of your tea. It cleans very well being glass. This is the second pot I have, the first one cracked by the handle a couple of weeks after I got it. I send a photograph to the vendor and they sent out a replacement with an apology stating that this was an unusual occurrence. While I was waiting for the replacement I continued to use the original as the crack was secure and not leaking. The pot continued to perform even with the crack! The new pot has been in constant use for several months and there has been no issues it remains in perfect condition. I therefore have to conclude that the first pot was not representative of the quality and I have received good care from the vendor and the replacement has been excellent. I now have a spare infuser basket and I use it inside a bigger ceramic pot when I have guests. Win win!

Teas up.
Teapot arrived in good condition. Delivery not so good - left on doorstep despite family in house and bell working.

Really nice
The teapot is very beautiful in person, having quite a wide base and being relatively short. It does look slightly different to the pictures displaying it but not unreasonably so. It is very stable in any surface due to having a large surface area on the bottom and it pours really well without dripping. The infuser itself is easy to insert and take out for cleaning. The glass has a nice thickness and feels very sturdy, it also works in the microwave once all the metal is removed and on the hob top, although watch out as the glass handle does heat up. The glass of the teapot doesn't keep the heat in but due to the volume of liquid it stays warm for a decent amount of time, maybe 30 minutes after putting boiling water in. The metal inserts sometimes come undone and feel a little cheap but that's understandable considering the price point.Summary:Really good teapot which does the job, looks good and is easy to look after. It feels a little cheap in some places and doesn't keep liquids warm for too long but otherwise it's a great purchase.

Great teapot for loose leaf, blooming/flowering teas or even standard teabags.
I absolutely love this teapot.I had begun to drink a lot of loose leaf ,herbal and caffeine free teas for which I wanted a glass teapot. My teenagers kept wanting to share my drinks so, I needed a larger teapot ( I had a cute little glass teapot already).I was also very keen to try some 'Blooming' /'Flowering' Tea. This absolutely requires a glass teapot of adequate size so that you can see the ornate tea sculpture unfold! This specific teapot has a removeable infuser core. With the core in place, you can use it for 'loose leaf' teas and with the core removed, it is perfect for using with teabags or for Flowering teas.To clean it, I generally dismantle it and carefully arrange in the parts on the top shelf of my dishwasher but, sometimes I hand wash it which is fairly easy too.Sometimes, removing the metal rim from the glass teapot after it has cooled can be tough but, that is a small price to pay.The material (glass & metal) also allow truer and stronger flavours to reach your cup/mug in my opinion.I would definitely recommend this teapot as a great buy!
