Medaglia D Oro, Caffe Espresso Can Ground, 10-Ounce (6 Pack)

Whenever I serve espresso to any of the Italians from Italy, they always marvel and ask how I make my coffee so good. They wonder if I pack it down etc. The older generation of Southern Italians here in the States all used this brand, which is called Gold Medal because it won all the medals in the competition at that time in Italy. It's becoming harder to find in the stores today since it is not from Italy and never heard of nor used there.

Decided to order here since this has been unavailable at my local stores for some time. But this doesn't taste the same as what I'm used to. This tastes a bit burnt. I like moderately strong coffee, but making this in the same proportions as I did before results in very strong coffee, stronger than I prefer. It's supposed to be the exact same product, so I'm not sure what's accounting for the difference. I'm unlikely to buy this again.

There are two types of this coffee. Light green label and dark green label. They advertise the dark green - it’s hard to find - and the delivery the light green. It’s not the same, and it taste nothing like the dark green label. What a waste.

According to my Subscribe & Save, I've ordered either a 6 or 12 pack of this brand 18x between 2020-2024. We prefer this brand over Starbucks and as much as many Nespresso flavors. My usual seller was out of this coffee, so I ordered the same brand from this seller. This is so bad that it's undrinkable; so bitter even with milk and sugar. My husband and I thought the problem was our machine because like I said, 18 multi-packs in 4 years, so we bought a new machine. Dumb mistake. It took one sip to realize that it's the coffee, not the machine. If you read other reviews, this is not a one time thing. Buy it in a store if you want the real thing.

My husband and I were unable to find our regular coffee at the grocery store while on vacation, so decided to try this. It was better than our normal espresso and it is all we drink now.
