Great selection of songs for someone learning guitar

A great PVG (Piano Vocal Guitar) book. I'm a bit of a collector of these books. This one has most of the best Beatles hits laid out in a nice simple style for beginner to intermediate musicians to play (and sing!) along to. Comes out at parties. Haven't found any errors in the transcription yet. My copy has a blue cover and not a red one as pictured here on amazon.

Good standard of transcription. Chord boxes for maximum ease. Not overly simplified, so perfectly interesting for a medium to advanced player. The book doesn't make use of lyric sheets on separate pages, which is all I want in life. So you can sing through entire tunes sight reading from beginning to end. I'm sure big Beatles fans will be aggrieved at certain ommissions--im not the biggest Beatles fan but would like 'Twist and Shout' to be in there. But all round a great book!

If you're a Beatles fan and play guitar you need this.

I'm sure this would be a good book for experienced guitarists but as a relative beginner it was way over my head. Two other people I know who are way more experienced than me also found the book extremely complex.

Not much to fault this tab version of the Beatles multi-selling '1' album. Anyone musician looking for an introduction to the fab four would find this book very useful, whereas The Beatles - Complete Scores transcribes every instrument this book (featuring all the big hits) concentrates on guitar. A very well presented package and now with some of the second hand prices on Amazon this is an absolute must.

These pieces of music are very familiar for so many generatios of music lovers, but a sheetmusic note is always useful. For example, to better capture the movement of harmony that has been most interesting to me in the Beatles. Simplified music settings are even sometimes quite useful.

This book has simple arrangements with top hand single notes or double chords, and bottom hand notes that match. They are written in either the key of "C" or else with one sharp or one flat. My 13-year-old loves the song "Let it Be," and sits down to play it just for fun. I like to play the songs, too. It's just what I was hoping for. The accompaniments are substantial enough to make you feel like you're actually playing the song (without the guitars) but simple enough to actually let a non-professional musician handle them. It's a great music book.
