Otis No.22 Brush (22 Rim-Fire, 219, 22, 222)

Others have written about the quality of the brush itself. Otis makes great stuff. There is no questioning of the brush quality. Here an aspect worth mentioning. How do you keep the brush from getting damaged? The brush comes is a clear test tube like case. The brush threads sit in a base that aligns the brush into the center of a hard plastic tube. This is important. The brush’s diameter is vital to its function. The tube protects the brush in shipping and in storage once you have it. Regardless of the brush quality, if the diameter is crushed or deformed (even slightly), the brush is useless. Otis has figured out how to preserve the brush quality and made it close to idiot proof. Oh, the tube is ckear so you can read the brush signs stamping without opening the tube. Brilliant!

you cant beat the Otis brand!

So the Otis pistol cleaning kit does not come with a .22 bore brush. Ergo, I bought this. Brass with bristles. Solid. Just what I wanted. One pass through my weapon and it is clean. Made in the USA. Economical. I expect this to last a long time. Highly recommended.

Good Product

I love the quality of the Otis bore brushes. They come in individual, protective containers and the caliber is marked on the base. They stand up to hard use and they clean very effectively. My only choice for my various guns.

4 out of 5 stars because I have used other brushes that had more bristles. Nevertheless, does a good job cleaning the barrel of my .22 pistol.

Not much to say... the brish is decent, sturdy, and not much more to say... If you are cleaning a rifle, I recommend you consider a fiberglass rod...
