Crimping Tool for Heat Shrink Connectors AWG22-10, Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper - Crimping Pliers - Electrical Crimping Tool

I’ve done about 20 crimps using this tool. On my boats stereo and bilge pumps using heat shrink marine butt joint crimps. All passed the pull test. Seems well made, clearly marked for different sizes. No problems at all, one squeeze does the job. It has an adjustment on it but I did not change it.

This is a great tool to have in your garage and toolshed... Although it is specifically for shrink wrap terminals, of which is does a great job, I use it for many other purposes where I need to squash things together... The tool is a great value for the money, it is sturdy, and cost effective... I am retired and have built and designed many things from wood to metal... and electrical. The thing about this, is that you may not use it a lot, but when you need a tool and you don't have the correct took, then you have to improvise and that isn't always a good thing. If you want to build a trailer lighting system, or build interior lights in a trailer, or cabin... or any electrical wiring... even LED lighting in your house... this is the tool and system to have.

Decent tool and works great

I've only done a few crimps, but wow. These things make crimping so much easier than using the ones on my wire strippers. It's also a feels like a more durable & stronger crimp. It's basically a flat block making the connection, so you get one crimp to cover a wider area, making a crimp that looks nice. I didn't have to do any adjustments on my pair. They did a great job on the default setting. However, it looks like adjustments could be troublesome since the wheel is too close to the handle. It allmost looks like you will need to cut a bit of the handle away to make it work. Speaking of the handle, it is a thick material, easy to grip, and mostly comfortable. The ratchet function works well. But if you get the handles too close together, you're not getting your finger on the release switch to open them back up. I was able to get a screw driver in there. If you can't do this, you have to continue squeezing the handle and finish the crimp, regardless of whether it's the crimp you want. Not sure if the release is how others are designed, but seems like the release should sit a bit further back. Overall, at $15 and the minimal amount of crimping I do, I'm satisfied with these. If I did a lot of crimping, I might look for a better pair. If you're a weekend warrior, you should be satisfied.

All I can say is that I wish would've bought these years ago. The old type crimp pliers can't even compare to the precise crimp quality that these things produce every time. The crimp quality is spot on every time, plus the grip & easy of use ratcheting action is very comfortable & functions with ease. This item is definitely a tool to get if you're looking to upgrade from the old worn out cheapo crimper's.

WORKS GREAT

This tool was exactly what I needed to do some wiring on my classic Land Rover Defender. It has space for all kinds of butt connectors I would use. Only call out is you may need to crimp the connectors 2-3x since some of the connectors are wider than what this tool accounts for.

It is a great tool for crimping, absolutely loved it after using some inferior brands and the price was good
