Law And Order - Special Victims Unit: Season 17 [DVD]

This show just keeps getting better . Some fantastic stories .

Take it from someone who doesn't watch much television, this show is brilliant. No wonder it has lasted nearly 20 years.

I think it is fair to say that I inhaled this season. I was utterly gripped from the beginning. The story lines are brilliant, some lasting over two episodes or recurring later on. Mariska Hargitay is sublime in her role as Olivia Benson and she has taken this series to another level. Unlike other series where main characters leave, she is the glue that holds the whole thing together. What was particularly nice this season was to see more of her personal life and to see her finding a balance between the horrors of her job and her home life. At one point I did think we were going to see her become an alcoholic like her mother, but thankfully that never developed. I truly hope this show goes on for many more seasons to come and I anxiously await the next instalment.

This is excellent, as with all of them.

This was such a great season. It was gripping start to end even though a select few episodes weren't as good. The season had very good storylines. The downside of this DVD is it doesn't include the second part of the Chicago PD crossover.

Wasn't too sure how this latest season would go after Danny Pino left. But the stories seemed stronger than season 16. Sad that they killed the new guy Mike Dodds off, especially as most other characters just left. Looking forward to season 18, especially if the rumours are correct that Elliot returns.

Returning to the Crime Scene with The 17th season of Law & Order:SVU with Mariska Hargitay as now the newly promoted Lieutenant Olivia Benson and the boss lady of the SVU Unit, and also returning in his 16th year is Ice T as Senior Detective Fin Tutuola. There 23 episodes in the 17th year, plus a crossover episode with Chicago PD, and it'll be 24 episodes. The crossover story starts off on SVU "Nationwide Manhunt" and it ends on Chicago PD "The Song Of Gregory William Yates." Also returning is after 22 seasons, 457 episodes, Richard Belzer returns as D.A Investigator John Munch. Law & Order:SVU is the longest TV shows in the history of television and this one of the greatest TV shows ever with powerful episodes.
