Donegan Optical Optivisor AL Headband Magnification Set

I misplaced my original OptiVisor and bought a cheap foreign-made copy. (Two, actually. Sigh.) You get what you pay for.This US-made product is a little more than twice as expensive as cheap foreign imports.But, I think the magnifier is worth every penny.OptiVisor is lightweight, but NOT cheaply made. All rear-knob headband adjusters (like hardhats) are a little cranky at first. OptiVisor works fine and fits more comfortably than cheap foreign imports. Unlike cheap imports, OptiVisor does not slam down on the bridge of my nose when not in use.Optics sparkle. I wear mine over progressive bi-focal glasses and found OptiVisor lenses superior to cheap foreign imports. It took me very little time to lock in correct focal distances.

Product is sturdy & well made. Images are clear. Lenses are a little cumbersome to adjust and the focal distances appear inaccurate based on the specs provided.

I just received mine and had to put in the strongest lens because the one that came installed was making me sea sick and I just wish they didn’t have a divider in the lens. This is my first optivisor. I will probably get the lights to add to it and the LP1 so that I can see the jewelry I’m working on better. It fits good but for the price the adjuster in the back could be a lot smoother because it feels like it’s going to break every time I adjust it. I saw one of these from the 70s and it had a metal adjustment knob on the back and the leather headband on the front was much nicer

These are a great quality. Bought them for painting miniatures and I’m happy I did. They are comfortable to wear and the lenses are a nice quality. The price was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but I wanted something that would last and the cheaper options didn’t seem they would live up to that. I bought the light attachment for it as well and I’m happy with it. Shipping took forever but when it shipped, I got it pretty fast. The listing does specify that it comes with the small optical lens that flips down in front of the lenses, but it wasn’t in the box. Other than that, I’m happy with my purchase, just wish I got what the listing said I’d receive.

The ad says there is one AccurLOUPE (a monocular attachable lens that adds 2-1/2 X to all models). I did not get this.

Fits. Good quality, good optical material. Fits over my glasses. I recommend these.

I researched for quite sometime before picking this visor. For electrical soldering and inlay work on guitars…it’s absolutely incredible and doesn’t strain my eyes at all (which are very sensitive). Easy focus, comfortable, and does exactly what is needed. Don’t compare, just buy this one, you won’t regret it!

The vision was very good. It was missing the Opti-Loupe, which was advertised as being included in this package. Don’t know how to contact the supplier. I may return.
