Q800C Soundbar Speaker - 11 Speaker Home Sound System, Wireless Dolby Atmos And Subwoofer, Alexa Built In, Bluetooth, WiFi & Airplay

Very good soundbar. Its my first personally but its paired with a 4k dolby / hdr capable tv and so far it's done everything I've thrown at it really well. Normal tv sounds crisper. And there's even a voice clarity function which is great for talking / hearing voices clearer. But also dolby atmos and movies sound great with this, can really hear and feel the separate channels and elements of a scene through sound. I'm lead to believe this would be even better with a Samsung tv, as they can be set up to use a Samsung soundbar AND the tvs own speakers for an even better set up. I use this with an LG, and it's still amazing. I also use the samsung smart things app / Google app and its even easier to set up things like voice clarity mode and various sound modes for movies or music etc, the remote is good but app is very easy. Bonus is. I got this at a really good price, around £440. Which is half of rrp.

It is a Which? Best Buy and I am not disappointed. Very easy to set up, the only difficulty I had was installing the updates manually using a usb flash drive, I gave up and installed Samsung's Smart Things app (you have to register with Samsung) which found the sound bar and updated it by wifi connection. I would recommend installing Smart Things app because you see more settings and it is easier to adjust all settings.

I initially gave this speaker a 1 star. You will find my reason for that below. However, I was able to use the SmartThings app to get the bass output, after weeks of trying several settings (I recommend going into the Advanced Sound Settings in the app to activate "bass enhancement"; open the Woofer setting and increase it to 5 or 6 (the max); also, turn on the surround sound) . If you are able to get the bass, the speaker experience is great and you would get the cinematic feel. What you still will lack is a great surround sound, understanding because detached speakers still give a more coherent surround in my experience. The 3D vertical overhead sound is great for birds chirping and a few other aerial sounds but it is not enhanced for others like airplanes roaring. ---------------------- INITIAL 1-STAR REVIEW This speaker is a waste of money compared to my JBL 800 5.1.2 wireless soundbar. I opted for this speaker because of the flamboyant reviews but I'm deeply disappointed. It didn't give me a cinematic experience at all. The Adaptive Sound and SpaceFit Sound modes didn't give distinctive sounds. This soundbar excels in technological niceties but fails in the one major thing you need with a 5.1.2 speaker: cinematic sound. The subwoofer lacks any bass. Even from action packed movies with rumbling effects I tested, the woofer produced flat sounds. I have decided to pack it up and try out the Polk Audio Signa S4.

Having been in hi-fi for 30+ years and had multiple set ups right up to high end, I can honestly say this is one of the best audio products I've ever bought. Easy to set up. Sound tar reaches deep without being bloated. Clear midrange and controlled treble. Pulls a great deal of detail from all sources with almost no muddying of the mix. Capable of throwing sound not only to the sides but up and towards you, at times hearing arrows from Ghost of Tsushima landing next to me. Intelligent systems work well, monitoring your room and adjusting itself appropriately. Loved it so much I purchased the rears, that were hard to obtain, but added a new dimension. Almost all surround formats are amazing even if it's having to be fed pcm conversion, tricking my family to thinking sounds were in our kitchen. Even plays music to a decent level that I'd equate with a mid priced speaker set up where detail is concerned and timing. Couldn't be happier.

I could not be more impressed with this soundbar. I bought it because I'm moving to a new house with a more compact living room, and didn't want the clutter of AV amp, separate speakers and all the bloomin' wires that go with them. Plug and play setup, so nice to have single remote control via eArc, and the sound quality is better than what I had before, it feels like such a better blend of the centre, sides and subwoofer which makes everything so much clearer. I've been using my Denon AV amp and speakers for over 20 years and honestly feel like I've entered the 21st Century with this soundbar. How can one cable, such small speakers, and a Bluetooth subwoofer create such a brilliant sound?

If you are looking at these because your neighbors are so loud, (we live on ground floor in a flat in a very old victorian house), this will fix your issue. You don't need to have the speakers very loud because when you play some brown noise thunderstorm or deep layered brown noise the subwoofer base completely takes the attack of stamping noises out and the sound bar covers the higher pitched yelling. We tried it for the first time yesterday and slept through the night till our alarms -no 3 layers of earplugs and noise cancelling headphones necessary- for the first time since we moved here!!! We went outside after putting it loud enough to cover the noise and you can't even hear it outside even with windows open, it didn't bother the other neighbors either but drowned out the bad ones. It is well worth the money in our opinion and it's also great for TV and ps5!

This is a great sound bar with woofer. Packaged carefully. Easy to assemble, although I had to use a magnifying glass to see the text with the pictograms. Although it has an optical input, it is very fussy about the nature of the digital source. Hence 4 star not 5. Not been able to use the optical input yet and will continue to look at ways to use a analogue/digital converter.

My Samsung TV sound itself is good with 60 Watt power but sometimes struggling to listen to the dialogue. Finally decided to take a plunge and after lots of reaserch.got this new sound bar from Samsung. It well worth the money. Sound quality is decent. Much more improvement from previous TV sound even though it was good enough on its own. I really liked features that will allow to use TV speakers with sound bar. I have tried watching films and now I can hear dialogue clearly with cinematic sound Pros: Deep clear theatrical sound. , sleek look, Pass through sound. Cons: bit bulky subwoofer (if you have less space) Overall very good quality for the price paid.
