Just zip tie the led strips to the undercarriage away from hot things. Drill a hole underneath your car into the cab and pull wires through it. Then, attach red wire to positive terminal on battery and black wire to negative. Done.

what gauge wire to install

A lot of these kits have enough wire to reach so you don't need any. If you do need you could use 14ga. Doesn't require much power at all.

Yes. It is equipped with a remote control that requires a remote control to switch on and off, change modes and colors.
