Vinyl Siding Mounting Blocks, Siding Mounting Kit, 130110006001 Octagon Mount Block, Mounting Plate for 1/2 inch Lap and 4 inch to 10 inch Height Siding, White

Ended up looking better than I thought it would! When I first held the vinyl siding mount up to my siding, I didn't think it would line up and sit flush with all the angles. However, once I screwed it down, it matched great! I put some caulking around it to make it weather proof (except for the very bottom, which seems to have a super small drain hole at bottom center so if any water does get in it will drain). I used this vinyl siding mount for my flag mount/holder. I marked the holes for the flag holder onto the vinyl mount and the then drilled holes in the vinyl mount. This worked well. The vinyl mount's plastic is hard and strong. (There are premarks on back of vinyl mount to cut out a rectangle or circle to use with an electrical box, but I didn't use those). I simply used four screws through my flag holder and through the vinyl mount holes I drilled to attach to my house! Worked well! Then I put caulking around (please excuse my sloppy caulking job in the photos). I have cheap plastic vinyl that has lots of play and flaps around. The mount fit perfectly after compressing the vinyl.

Block is well made of seemingly good quality material. Problem is it is for a 4.5 inch exposure lap and my vinyl siding is 5 inch exposure. I had to send it back because I didn't catch that when I made the purchase. Return went well.

Purchased this to mount a camera to vinyl siding. Arrived undamaged and worked as intended.

The product works well

The build of this mounting block is very good. It feels very strong and sturdy. There's a cut out template for different types of junction boxes. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my vinyl siding since the top half is longer than the bottom half. There was about an inch gap between the bottom of my vinyl siding and the groove of the product. Overall, it is a great product if it fits your vinyl siding. Would recommend.

The quality of this mounting block is really good. I’m using it mainly as a spacer on vinyl siding — it’s not holding the full weight of my camera setup. The camera and junction box together are about 700 grams, and this block works perfectly as a clean, stable mounting surface. However, it’s expensive but solid and does the job.
