For a certain generation who grew up around the millennium this may be the best comic ever written
Written at the turn of the millennium (until the delays set in) each issue leans in to a different trope popular during the 20th century- truly something unique and for millennials like me it brings all sorts of nostalgia. Add in the late John Cassaday's amazing art work and great colouring by Laura Martin you get something particularly special. Probably my favourite comic ever and a treat for fans of 90's pop culture vibes.

Outstanding
Planetary is probably my favourite comic ever and I've been collecting for 30+ years it's brilliantly written complimented by the superb draughtsmanship of John Cassaday and Linda DePuy's colours.

I’m enjoying it so far.
So I’ve started to check out more of Ellis work since finishing Transmetropoliton and I have to say I’m enjoying it so far. This feels more akin to Injection and some of his more mysterious writing as it does little to let you know what’s going on until about half way in. This is fine if you’re expecting it but could put new readers off a bit.Overall I really enjoyed the book 1 arc but feel it was very much from a stepped back viewpoint so I hope we get up more close and personal in the second half once that book drops.Basic premise is they are collecting history and main protagonist is trying to figure out what happened to him and his memory while helping as their ‘third man’.

Before there was The Authority there was Planetary
Art and story ROCK. Ellis and Cassaday at the peak of their game.

Classic comic book.
A classic and highly original comic, can't beat the price either.

good, but bizarre timeline left me often confused
I have read and loved much of Ellis other work, and this just didn’t feel quite so fluid. The art was often amazing, but the characters and story just didn’t click for me.
