Like new but i didnt see that it was a crawler edition so no i have to buy another motor for my traxxas slash but the esc. Works great on it

This thing is awesome! 😀👍 I know it's not for a drag car but With the torque it has I thought I'll put it in my Dragster for fun. Geared it up for speed and let it RIP. It did good for acceleration for half teach (66feet) but ones we got to 80-132 feet the high KV motors caught up. (Already new that was going to happen with the low kv it has but what surprised me was it could keep up in that setting. A crawler motor with a great range of capability, really putting it to the test.

I got this setup for my Phoenix Vanquish vs4-10 and it's a hell of a setup. Highly recommend seller, shipped fast and arrived on time.

Do not run 6S on this motor. I did and fried the esc caught the battery on fire damaging my setup. It fried the esc not the motor btw, and the battery burst in flames. was able to yank it out before too much of it was damaged. Castle thankfully sent me a replacement this one time. They are a good company and I highly suggest their products. Was running on trx4 and won't use that aggressive of a setup again. 4S takes it plenty fast if that's what you are after. I knew I was pushing it. It didn't run any faster on 6S btw. 5s ran well but will take longevity from the motor. I've had the new esc blow a capacitor with 3s plugged in testing a new capra gspeed build freewheeling in my hand. had not ran 6s on this esc fyi, so not sure what the chance is getting it repaired or replaced by castle. havent contacted them yet, but will try to remember updating this review on what happens. will probably have to pay partial cost as this update is 2 years after initial posting. cant afford the shipping even as of now, so the system isnt 5 stars (4.5 if 5 is perfect) but with customer service id rate 6 if possible, especialy if i get it repaired again since i was using it by the manufacturers specs. another thing that sets this above the competition is the castle link giving control on the fly of drag brake or power, etc. made in the USA is a big thumbs up too while im rambling on about this product.adding the insurance for 33 bucks for 3 years is a good call and that isnt saying anything negative on this item but a good call for people who push their rigs to the edge.

Installed this in my TRX4 Defender, awesome performance. Ridiculously fast, pops wheelies with ease and applying the brake will have the car tumbling. Also crawls great, awesome torque with no cogging. Recommended. If you have the light kit, solder the power for it to the battery connector when you solder on your connector. Used some high strength velcro to attached the ESC to the chassis. Supplied user manual details how to reverse the motor direction. Simon

Ordered And installed. Worked for less then 5 mins and smoke went everywhere. I have a couple of these combos and they are great. I contacted the seller and he informed me there will be a 20 to 50% restocking fee. Complete bs. Never buy from them!

Bought this for rock crawler. The ability to program the speed and braking made this a great fit for my 1/8 rock crawler. Now have installed three units (one per axle) into a 6 x 6 project truck with aluminum chassis. Incredible speed and torque for such a large vehicle. Running 3 lipo 3S batteries. Worth the money

Installed this in an axial wraith and Ho Lee Chit....... It woke this thing up big time. Perfect combo for crawling and trail running. Tweak the ESC with the castle link and tune it your way. Motor runs cool with stock gears and 11 tooth pinion. Plenty of wheel speed and no, and I mean no cogging or studdering at low speeds. Smooth as a baby's butt thru all throttle, from a snail creep to all out full blast. Perfect combo and happy that I won't be looking for another motor any time soon.......
