Mucky Nutz, MugGuard, Rear - Rear Mudguard, Black

I live in pnw region. Unfortunately we gather significant experience with rain, muck, and mud. I've used most all fender products over the past 38 yrs, and Muckynutz has simply raised the bar. Ease of installation, coverage of shock and motor, versatility, and clean design and execution. A solid and well executed product and is highly adaptable to msny frame designs. I give this guard/fender my highest recommendation. Wbile its galing to be installing a guard/fender after a month riding in Virgin, UT sans such. This product makes winter in pnw viable and functional 🎯

This mudguard is awesome and flexible. Can convert from normal looking short to ugly but super effective long version. Rode in very wet and muddy conditions and my backpack, shirt, shorts, dropper post, and pivots were clean while other people had loads of gunk all over. Have confidence to ride straight through middle of the puddles and ride faster overall. I did end up losing one of the locking caps. I’m pretty sure I put it on tight but went down some super rocky rough high speed DH so things do tend to fall off in those conditions. I sent and email to muckynutz and they were nice about it and offered to send a replacement. I’m going to put a hole in the middle of the cap and placing a small zip tie just in case it happens again. Now that I’m used to riding clean and riding with abandon, don’t think I’ll go back to riding without this rear mudguard.

I'm quite biased when it comes to the Mucky Nutz Mug Guard because I've been using the front one for a few years now and I absolutely love it. But one problem that occured with the rear kit was the guard sliding down the seat stays causing slight rubbing on the tire due to water and debree getting underneath the wedges. Now prior to installing this guard I cleaned all the surfaces that would mate with isopropyl alcohol. I did not use the velcro straps they provided but instead used zip ties. I thought the ties would be sufficient enough to cinch it down but after some bumpy, wet and muddy terrain, the guard slowly started to slide down the seat stay and debree getting underneath the wedges. An easy solution for this problem is using some double side tape. But overall, I like how adjustable this kit is and the option of running a short or extended guard. It did kept my bum dry and significantly less muddy than without one so I am calling this a win

I never write reviews, but the Mugguard is awesome! I live and ride in the foothills of NorCal above Sacramento where wet season riding is sweet, but also slimy, mucky and muddy. Typically when I return home from a winter ride I need to hose down my riding gear outdoors before washing to remove the mud caked to my backside but no more. Not only do I not need to do so anymore, this fender keeps my lower legs and shoes significantly cleaner, bike too, with just a small fraction of the mud and spatter I normally experience. Great product and was super fast and easy to install as well, perhaps 10 minutes including final adjustments.

The angle adjustment is nice to raise slightly and remove the slap common on fenders this size, the removable extension is a nice touch for those extra wet days. Fits solid, doesn't slide around. A++

The design is weak. Weak point is the adjustable angle joint. Lasts utmost 3 rides on gravel road. Instead of having an adjustable angle joint, if it were like their front fender made of one piece it would be stronger. Just use zip tie and add n extender for rain.

Fender works well and is very rigid. I usually just run it in the half configuration to keep mud off the frame, but it looks really nice and doesn't slap the rear tire when downhilling. It comes with Velcro straps to hold the fender in place which would probably work well on their own. I chose to add a zip ties over the top of each strap for added strength.

Ich habe das Schutzblech an meinem Cube ONE44 Actionteam Modelljahr 2025 montiert. Es passt sehr gut ans Bike und sieht meiner Meinung nach richtig hochwertig und sportlich aus. Optisch fügt es sich hervorragend in das Gesamtbild des Fahrrads ein. Der Preis ist zwar recht hoch, dafür wirken Verarbeitung, Passform und Design überzeugend. Wer nur eine möglichst günstige Lösung sucht, findet sicherlich preiswertere Alternativen. Mir war jedoch auch die Optik wichtig, und in dieser Hinsicht hat sich der Kauf definitiv gelohnt.

Produit dispendieux, mais qui vaut amplement le prix. S'adapte parfaitement et semble.très solide. Installé avec velcros et j'ai ajouté des tierap par dessous, car ne semble pas assez solide avez les velcros seulement.

Bought both front and back mudguard, they’re sturdy, hassle free installation and seem to be of good quality. Have used them for almost two weeks now and they are solid in position, lots of clearance and does the job for commuting with my work horse (trek xcaliber 2018).

Me funciona de maravilla en mi hardtail. Intente adaptar algunos anteriormente pero no quedaban del todo bien. Este encaja perfectamente. Llevo varias salidas y no se ha movido en lo absoluto. Recomiendo usar sujetadores de plástico en lugar de la tela qué incluyen para fijarlo a la bici.
