Not necessarily. Cutting in half all depends on the length you desire. Also the amount of bags would depend on how full you want your look to be. I very rarely see styles that require more than 2-3 packages of hair.

Q: How much to one adult head?

It depend on the hair style you’re getting and how long you want your your braid. I use this product but not for this style shown on the package . If you want the style shown I’m guessing 2 to 3 packs. This is Base in my knowledge of how much hair comes in the pack.
