Airbnb For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance))

This book helped me avoid a number of pitfalls in my first few months of hosting on Airbnb. It is a super practical book that gets into the nitty gritty, day-to-day details of what it takes to be a successful host. I especially loved the explanation of how Airbnb’s search algorithm works. The book’s explanation on this topic really drove home to the point that it is important to “go live” only when everything with your property is in tip top shape. There were lots of useful tips like having friends and family wishlist your listing for better search placement. One unexpected plus is that the book includes access to an online library with additional resources. There is a property profit calculator, a cleaning/turnover checklist, and more. Yes, some of the content qualifies as common sense. But I found plenty of advice that hadn’t occurred to me. Highly recommended for new Airbnb hosts!

The book was quite knowledgeable and I enjoyed it. It gave me some really good pointers.

This is a great book if you are thinking of getting into STR business. Great ideas. Covers a lot of do’s and don’t and full of ideas that you should do for guest.

Helpful tips but sooo repetitive. Why use 5 words when you can repeat yourself over 5 sentences? I tried listening to the Audible version but the number of times it restated an already obvious point was maddening. Ironically they claim brevity is key when writing listing descriptions.

This book did not have the best thing you need

Talks about everything but a simple process of how to list a property. Like all their books, a waste of money
