Regans' Orange Bitters are good in every way
I don't always write reviews, but this product merits praise. I spent a bit of time reading about orange bitters, and after finding positive online reviews for several, I decided to go with the value proposition of large bottle and good price on the Regans' No. 6. It also has an interesting history that you can read on the bottle. The fragrance and flavor are outstanding, including both earthy tones and fresh herbal and fruity ones. I won't attempt more explanation than that, but I really like it. I'm not sure it is better than Angostura Orange bitters, which is also a fine product, but I like it at least as much, and it's definitely different. It's a bold flavor, too, so I don't use as much as with other bitters. I mainly use it in an Old Fashioned, so here is my recipe for an easy one of those. Put a Fabbri cherry and one full teaspoon of the syrup in the glass first. (This conveniently replaces the simple syrup, but if you don't like cherry flavor, omit it and use a spoon or two of simple syrup.) Add about half a spoon of water. Then one shake of Perchaud's bitters and five drops of Regans'. Add two ounces of bourbon (or rye); just use something you like. Stir a bit, then add ice and stir until cold. If you want to be fancy, you can strain it into a chilled glass with fresh ice, but I don't bother. Finally, cut a fairly large piece of orange peel, spritz it over the drink, and drop it in. (All products mentioned are available at Amazon, except spirits and ice. If you want to use only one bottle of bitters, the Regans' alone will be fine.)

Economical size for the gold standard of orange bitters.
Great value at $1.50 per ounce. If you plan on using this much, it's an economical size to buy. If not, I guess it's too big! I'm happy with the purchase. It's one of the few bitters most professionals advise any bar should have. It's pretty much the standard for orange bitters. Good purchase.

Very tasty, not the best
My go-to orange bitter has always been the Fee's Bros West Indian Orange. I was reading a book about bitters, and in that book the author recommended Regan's. Did a little research and found that Regan's is very highly rated and shows up on almost every 'best of' list of orange bitters, and the Fee one doesn't even show up half the time.Price wise, this is a really good deal. You get a pretty big 10oz bottle for just about 17 bucks (the Fee's pack of two 5oz bottles is $23). The flavor is very subtle, just a hint of orange, and very full profile of spices. Unfortunately for me, I don't really have a very sophisticated palate, so I have to put in like 7-8 shakes to even taste it and even more to get the effect that I like. The Fee one, I only need 4-5 shakes to get the desired result.You can't go wrong with this one, it is for sure very tasty (WAY better than the Angostura orange bitter and I think I've tried Woodford that was just awful). In my opinion though, I like a little bit more pop to my bitters. I'm keeping it in my liquor cabinet for when I need a more subtle flavor, but for sure it is not as good as the Fee one.For reference, I use orange bitters mainly for negronis (a slice of fresh orange is best but a good bitter works great) and in my version of a Mexican mule (ginger beer, tequila, and orange bitter) and I'll sometimes put it in an old fashioned, really any cocktails that call for orange slice/peel if I don't have fresh fruit

GREAT IN OLD FASHIONS
It beats having to have an orange on hand when making old fashions. Just add about five shakes and forget the orange.

My favorite orange bitters
Complex, with a nice hint of cardamon. Works great on Rum Old-fashioned. Mix 2 parts Fee Brothers and 1 part Regan’s for a bitter blend that will take your martinis to the next level.

The best orange bitters
Use angostura for aromatic bitters—for orange bitters use Reagan’s. It adds an excellent flavor profile to manhattans or old fashions that seems to enhance rye or bourbon without it tasting orange-y at all. I alternate using Reagan’s or Woodford Reserve Spiced Cherry as my two favorite cocktail bitters.
