Good product. Sometimes I forget that an abrasive is an abrasive., It works on paint, polyurethane, metal, etc. I purchased this for hand buffing out scratches in PVC plastic as well as Bakelite telephones.; prior to using the Novus Fine Scratch Remover. Found these Novus products to work well on heavily scratched brass, carbon steel and stainless steel as well as paint and clear coat finishes. The fine scratch remover cuts quickly into and puts a very shinny finish on metal, especially convenient if you have parts which are so curved or tiny that you can't finish them on a buffing wheel.

If you want to polish up to a high gloss from a dirty or scratched plastic surface this product is a good way to start out. Tried it & I was immediately impressed with the cutting performance, while not aggressive it is quite capable of getting rid of a lot of sanding marks.

I have ordered this many times and never have received in a plastic bag that had exploded on the inside leaving leaking fluid all over the place. It is a great product for what we use but the delivery on this was unacceptable.

As expected, it don't take out deep scratches that can be felt with finger nail. I still use it sometimes before going to Novus 2, but usually just Novus 2 does the job.Using to buff and polish acrylic aquariums and to restore foggy headlights

Works great for polishing my 220 gallon 3/4" acrylic aquarium. Takes a lot of time. For deeper scratches I would recommend automotive sand paper.
