I love this machine. I can really see the outline of the studs in the studs in the wall. It saves unfruitful holes in the wall and the time and expense to repair them.

I'm a tech guy, I'm a DIY kind of person too... This thing is a hot mess in a blender though!!! Sounded awesome... execution is awful. - first is the device was not accurate on my walls (calibrated, new construction, drywall) - connectivity seemed a slight issue - marks on your walls, and hurts wall's texture. Mine (texture) is minimal. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that the calibration has to be executed every time.... but after Walabot fails to work, I see went they might need it. I would think the app could have settings for your type usage and automatically set for the last depth of drywall.. again mine was standard. Soooo disappointed. What an epic failure. I would even encourage people to try it for themselves. It was that awful. Before someone responds etc- I utilized all aspects of this device. I was in this home during construction. I know what's behind these walls generally. This was supposed to help be precise and remind me of I had forgotten. Whether EXPERT mode or otherwise... it was a horrible, needless think of junk. I’ve used it a couple times now, I like the scanning ability, especially the electrical cable feature. One thing I noticed right away is it’s so thin and could be dropped (I'm not using the “MagSafe”), I didn’t want to mount a magnet ring on my phone case. Suggestion, you should come up with a snap on handle for the Walabot? Maybe an adjustable phone bracket with the MagSafe ring attached? I noticed the pads that slide on the wall get hung up on the wall texture a bit, left some slight scratches on the paint, I’m sure the function of the sensors require these pads to be that size and thickness? I would’ve given it 5 stars if the above was addressed. Update, there are vendors offering the clip to snap the phone to the Walabot without the magnet, I’ve ordered one.

Does work through drywall. So as many other stud finders. Does not work through concrete.

This device works well after calibration, quickly detecting studs, plex, and copper pipes. It also gives color indications for Romex and some conduit pipes. I bought it primarily for stud finding, but it is a plus for other things within the walls. The only hassle is the constant calibration if you pull the sensor away from the wall to another wall. It could have a memory for at least one minute before needing re-calibration. Overall, it is a good product, accurate, and innovative

Every DIY’er needs one of these. It located studs behind a tiled wall for me to install grab bars. This thing is amazing. Should have bought one a lot sooner. Thought it was expensive, but it was money well spent in my case. Would definitely buy it again.

Ist nur für Trockenbau geeignet. Der Vorläufer war besser einsetzbar. Allerdings mit der beschränkenden OTG Kabelbindung. Jetzt gibt es keine Wahlmöglichkeit mehr. Nur noch Trockenbau. Genereller Vorteil: Man kann nach Nagetieren in der Wand suchen. Was sehr negativ auffällt. Auf Raufaser Tapeten nicht mehr einsetzbar. Man muss dazu die Silikonpads abkleben, da diese scharfkantig sind. Ich bin daher auf den 700€ Bosch Scanner umgestiegen.

I bought this stud finder for my son, and he says it's really helped him a lot. He says it's easy to use and very accurate. On his say-so, I would recommend this item!
