They are nail clippers not tree trimmers.

I have abnormally thick toenails and these clippers are the best I have found to cut them. They come with a nice case to keep in your nightstand or medicine cabinet. They fold down small so you can travel with them. They come with a nice pick for ingrown and toenails. I usually go through a couple pairs of tonail clippers a year. I've had these for quite sometime now and I don't foresee them breaking. great purchase

If you have extremely thick nails these are great! My elderly father in law has super thick nails I use these and a grinder . They adjust do u can open them pretty wide .
