Army Patrol Combat Boots Desert Side Zip

Bought to replace a previous pair which were my go-to footwear for everything, 'til eventually the soles wore too thin. The side zips are great. Used them for walking, cycling, motorbiking, gardening and round the workshop and house. They were comfy, and lasted well. Nothing broke, split or came unstitched. Even damp proof enough for half an hour in wet grass. Not as long lived as Magnums, but great value for money.

These are not a bad boot for the price. But the old adage of you get what you pay for is true in this case. I usually by the high end boots around £100 many brands available. But I just needed a new clean pair for a weekend away. The boots are fairly well constructed seem to be fairly comfortable but the finishing has let them down. Whilst it is great they have the zip the finishing is quite poor. The zip is just lose on the inside of the boot and not stitched to it. It is also cut from a longer zip or has been cut down so the bottom of the zip is rough and runs agony’s yhe instep of your foot. This will wear through hour sock(s) in no time and start giving blisters. But a quick trim with some pliers and some good quality cloth tape fixed it. I may be unlucky in this one pair of boots. In that case the Q.C. Check is not thorough. Over all the look quite smart and will do ok. But I would think twice if I was using them everyday to work in.

These boots are the most comfortable I have even worn and the side zip made putting them on very easy. Unfortunately after around 3 months they started soaking up water and the sole wore out.I guess if you are OK with replacing every couple of months they are fine.....after all they are dirt cheap

I bought these in February 2024 and have worn them almost every day for 13 months. They show no sign of wearing out but I have ordered a new pair to wear in public while the old pair are relegated to "work only" status.They are comfortable, hard-wearing and perfect for everyday use. I just ordered my fourth pair after several years of great service.

Value for money,comfortable,look good.Dont last as long as walking boots but at this price who cares,im walking 5 or 6 miles a day and if they last 6 months i will throw them out and buy another pair!

Tried them on, ordered size 11 instead of my usual 10 - 10.5. Read previous reports. Comfortable fit. So far. Report later.Used outside, comfortable and light. got size 11 perfect fit.I am usually size 10 -10.5 so order accordingly.Good value for the money.Have lasted as well as expected. Only use them for casual wear as the sole is a bit light in the grip department. For the price a good buy.
