The media could not be loaded.  So I bought the smaller ball with the same sound chambers (no batteries) from a different manufacturer on amazon. It kept going under the couch or tables etc. As you can see Lilly the bulldog (I just got her from rescue she is 4 months old and she has a cherry eye that is getting removed next week) goes CRAZY for these sound balls. In the pictures you can see she is barely able to pick it up. This is a way superior ball than the old one EXCEPT FOR 1 THING. First the good things: SIZE no more fishing for her ball under the couches. And she always lost the small one and I had to go searching in the house and backyard for it. This one is going to be easy to find. The outer shell seems to be very durable the bumps on the shell are made from a softer plastic but not so soft to easily be torn off. I have only the ball for 1 day so I really cant be sure how it will hold up over time. I am sure a very big pitbull, german shepherd etc over time might be able to chew of the nubs. It would take them some time to do so.The not so great but not a deal breaker. The sound chambers in the ball are not as loud and dont fire off as good as the small ball. On the small ball if you rolled it the chamber would fire. On the big ball the chambers fire right before the ball stops. And of course once it stops it does not fire. Now this might be because the ball is new and needs to be broke in. I am going to buy another one and I will update once that one comes in. So yes I would recommend

For two solid days, our Mastiff tried to crush and rip this ball apart. No go! The most he did was manage to shift the inner ball under the rubber cover but that doesn't affect the sound it makes so no issues there. A month later and still good!

Only ball my German Shepard had not been able to break. Very well made ! He loves it.

My dogs can destroy anything they come into contact with. They’ve been struggling with this ball though. They LOVE the giggle sound and it has lasted longer than almost any toy we’ve had. Highly recommend if your dog is a super chewer.

Right now, my rescue lab turns 1 year old tomorrow. She likes the ball, but it is hard for her to pick it up.I am sure with a little time she will master it. She loves anything that talks to her. I didn't know this company contrubites to rescued animals. Now I am very happy to contribute.

Ok, first off this is my Great Danes, George, most prized toy!! This is his 3rd one now. His eyes literally light up when I get it out. I have to hide it because I work midnights and he will play with it nonstop while I’m trying to sleep!!If you are looking for a toy that stands up to Giant breeds this is your item!!!The rubber casing is wonderful for them to grip on to. However, it’s such a great grip that my Dane has now learned he can fling thru the air… almost going through my living room window once. Again, it’s because he is so excited to have it. It is now banned from being an inside toy. For obvious reasons.Your dog won’t be disappointed…. It gives him hours of play and he literally tries to sneak it inside so he can sleep with it. Guarding it as if it were a bed full of jerky treats!!! Guess he thinks the cat or possibly Fred the fish wants it….😜Dear Company…. I have purchased many toys from you and never to be disappointed. This time, however, when I opened it up the ball barely made any noise. As the days went by on day 5 it completely died. George has now lost interest but continues to paw at it probably hoping it will come back to life. The disappointment on his face is priceless. I’m hoping you read this because there was no info how to contact you. I did send an email directly to your company but no response as of yet. I did throw the box away so unsure if I can return it. But, George being George is ever optimistic and has not given up hope it will come back to life as he continually whacks at it just waiting for that giggly sound so he can resume yet another round of dog soccer….😊😊😊.Trust me dog parents ( especially Giant Breeds) it’s the most durable. This toy makes him go nuts but in a good way lol. He loves the house and rolling it around. It wears I'm out.

My Goldendoodle loves this toy to the point I had to take it away from her the first few days. Very strong and has not demonstrated any signs of wear despite the constant chewing it has endured.
