Quality watercolour paper
Good quality watercolour paper, but I didn't realise the leaves were stuck together, so each of the leaves can be stretched on the pad.

Decent quality paper
This block is excellent. The paper is decent quality, and the block stops the paper from moving around or needing to be taped to a board. It comes off fairly easily from the block using a plastic painting knife from the Works (meant for acrylic painting), slid around the under edge of the paper after the picture has dried.

One of my favourite papers
Good quality paper, and having a block rather than loose sheets make it easy for me to use. There is no guarantee that the paper will never buckle but buckling is greatly reduced even when the paper is pretty wet. Takes my water colour paints well. Very pleased.

The preferred paper of English watercolorists. Do I really need to say more?
I've been watching Andrew Pitt's video on YouTube. He is an outstanding watercolor artist in the English tradition of Wesson. When I tried the paper that he is using, namely Bockingford NOT (or "good old Bockingford" as he says), After working with Arches and Fabriano, I had an AH! AH! moment: That's how he does it!!! Fantastic. No gimmicks, just pure, fresh, simple, luminous, Excellent for landscapes but also excellent for still life. Haven't tried human figure yet, but I suspect it will be just as good. Was a little apprehensive since it is not cotton paper, but I must admit that when it comes to the art (not American gimmicks) of watercolor, the English invented it and they know best. Wish it was easier to buy in full Imperial sheets in Canada, but the blocks are of excellent quality!
