I recently tackled a DIY crawl space encapsulation project, and this butyl tape from CrawlSpace DIY was an absolute game-changer. This product it's exactly what I needed to seal vapor barriers to concrete and cinder block walls without any hassle. The tape is super easy to install: just cut to size and stick. It adheres beautifully to dry, dust-free surfaces, creating an airtight bond that gives me total peace of mind against moisture and air leaks. Pro tip from my experience: If you're working with rougher surfaces like cinder blocks, grab a heat gun and warm the tape slightly before applying. It conforms like magic, filling every little crevice for an even stronger hold. No bubbling, no peeling – just a rock-solid seal that held up perfectly through my entire project.

Used this to hang 6ml plastic vapor barrier in crawl space. Sticky on both sides. Unroll and stick it to the concrete block (broom off the block first to remove loose stuff). Then peel off the paper on the exposed tape and apply the plastic barrier. Use a roller/block to seal the plastic to the tape. and tape to the wall. I then went back and drilled 1/4 inch holes every 18 inches and added the christmas tree spikes to secure it. Looks good and is holding up well.

Very sticky. Reminds me of tar. I just installed this product. And it is holding the vapor barrier together. How long it holds up. Only time will tell. Will update later. Only gave 4 stars because I just use this product.

Be careful. The product holds really well, so make sure you don't let it touch something you are not trying to use it for.

Really good stuff- I tried two different manufacturers, and this one was definitely sticker, thicker, and seemed to seal better. Would prefer this again.

I had a constant leak every time my sump pump ran. I wrapped this tape around the sump pump outlet pipe and continuing across the flex pipe. It completely sealed the leak. This tape is great.

This double sided tape worked great for encapsulation of my crawlspace. Adhered well to brick and cinder block. Been up 6 months now, will see how well it holds up.
