Nice design but not cooling
I like the design but it didn’t do the job. Not cooling at all. It increases humidity but it’s too expensive for just a humidifier. Ended up returning and got a portable AC.

Works as advertised!
Bought this evaporative cooler for a back bedroom too small for an air-conditioner and too hot to be in during the summer with just a window open. After looking at a bunch of these and reading about leaking and non cooling issues, I can say this one works. Keeps the back bedroom 20 degrees cooler than the ambient air outside. With the air conditioner in the front room, the house has never been cooler. Some things to note: you will have to add new water sometime near the 6-8 hour mark to keep it cooling. The ice packs that come with the unit are cheap, already bulging and cracking 10 days after use. For a couple of bucks I bought some cryopak ice packs from my local supermarket and they fit in the drawer and work like a dream. That said, the provided and my replacement packs all have to be switched out every 4 hours to keep the cooler functioning otherwise it just maintains the same temp as the water in the reservoir. When the reservoir is low the device emits a beeping sound to know its turning off the cooling function. That brings us to my only real complaint, the pump leaves about a 1/4 inch amount of water in the reservoir at all times, which doesn't seem like much but remember the device is just under 3 feet tall and the water reservoir is not easily removed. Not a problem for continuous use but during intermittent heat days that means a stangnat pool of water in the reservoir inviting bacteria when I'm not using the cooler function. The fan function seems to speed up the ambient evaporation of this 1/4 inch of water but it would've been nice if the pump could've pulled most of that 1/4 inch of water out during use.Other pros: bladeless fan is nice for safety and it's hulahoop slow spin does distribute the air well. Just a little quieter than a standard oscillating house fan, but you definitely hear it.

AC it's Not
I needed a portable air conditioner for my bedroom because my central air is not working. This product is only a fan & you have to refill the wayer tray every 12 hours. I have a friend that bought a different portable ac but it cost almost $600 & it gets freezing cold. I thought this would be a smaller version as I can't afford $600. So, I guess you get what you pay for. In my opinion, this is just an over sized fan. In 90° Texas heat, it won't keep me cool in the summer. I'm back to square one. I can't buy a window fan because my house has burglar bars on it. ☹️ OH, the instructions were only definitions of what each of the buttons purpose.

Mixed review. Nice design. Clever but flawed engineering.
SHORT VERSION: Nice design. Okay fan. Okay swamp cooler. Nice controls. Some quality issues. Some engineering issues.THE FAN has a very attractive design which suggests that it is a bladeless "Dyson-like" fan. It's not. No air actually comes out of the hole. There is a reasonably powerful centrifugal fan – a mechanical fan with lots of small blades in a cylinder shape – that blows through small vents on the edge of the decorative hole. The air is re-directed upward through side tubes, then forced through small holes. It works but the internal friction creates a little extra noise and reduces the force of the wind blowing out. Still a decent fan with a good remote control.COOLING FUNCTION: Swamp coolers typically feel cooler with a finer misting function. This one doesn't do that. But it still works to reduce room temperature. At moderately warm temperatures, it can cool a 12' x 12' (4m x 4m) area by 2-3° with cool water. It can do more cooling with the provided ice packs. The ice lasts an hour or 2 so getting extra icepacks is a good idea. This feature works best in dry areas but even in an already humid rainforest, the cooler humid air can reduce the temperature of the room.QUALITY: I ordered 2 units for use in Hawaii. One worked. One did not. Rather than return it, I took it apart and rebuilt it. The fan was jammed in shipping. While it now works, the fan is slightly out of balance and not as quiet as the one that arrived in working condition. Overall, these are not especially sturdy. The plastic is thin but well engineered. The water drawer with its attached hoses feels precarious. And tilting the unit while there is water in it will short out the motor and flood your house. All that said, I like it all well enough. If I paid $40 less for them I'd be happy but they are decent enough to keep around.DESIGN & FEATURES: These fans/coolers are saved by their beautiful design and features. While it isn't a bladeless fan per se, it is safe around kids and pets and easy on the eyes. The cooling feature works okay. It is quiet enough. The remote is convenient. Even the timers and functions feel useful. I give them an "A" for design, C+ for function, C- for durability.

Good but def not A/C
This works well enough for my daughters room. Not great though. Having to replace the ice pack daily is a little annoying (something I didn’t consider). It puts out cool air but not cold. Noise isn’t too loud - I would say average for a fan.

Cooler Function Broke Down After One Month
I love the look of the fan but its cooling function does not work well as it does not produce enough coldness despite how much ice you put in it. After one month, the function stop working; everytime you turn it on, water got leaking from the filter and made a mess.

Mr Cool McCool
I bought this item in May to cool my room in the hot afternoons of summer. The unit cools the room a good 3-4 degrees, and it gets cold in the early mornings. It's perfect. Produces a white noise that lulls you to sleep so you get two for one. I did have a leak with the first unit and email the manufacturer. They email me every day, responded every day to every question, stayed with me while I was doing some due diligence for them, and they sent me the replacement. All in less than two weeks. Once received, the followed up with an email to confirm receipt and that the unit was working. Now all is perfect. Excellent A#1 Customer Service. Seldom you get that now a days. Thank you Trustech! RBladuellDecember 2023 The new unit sent by Trust tech is leaking, not sure if to buy another model just to get a unit here fast. Unit did not make it to the one year mark. Thanks
