A beautifully designed collection of American history
I was blown away by the presentation of this product. This is a high-quality book with in-depth information, powerful stories, and engaging pictures. My brother loved his birthday gift and I plan to purchase another one for my husband. Well worth the investment!

A collector's item for the ages
This book is the perfect purhcase for Hip-Hop heads who don't want to hear the same stories that we've all heard thousands of times. Instead, these personal essays unlock a history I wasn't aware of before. Special kudos goes out to giving people outside of music a shine like PHASE 2, Crazy Legs, Dapper Dan, and more.

They left out some key artists and groups. They included Mannie Fresh but no MC Eiht, the entire Boot Camp Clik? Spice 1, method man, NO AZ!?!?! Mobb Deep? I’m tripping out y’all added TRINA but no MOBB DEEP… I hope LL and crew understand that the golden ages of hip hop were 1992-1996 from east to west and the epitome was 1993. Sadly I’m returning this book. I’m so glad they wrote about beastie boys and Nas cause Nas is the greatest. No rapper comes close he’s a lyrical genius up there with Tupac. And there was no mention of pac just some pictures.
